He did for the first couple of years but similar to Lerner, once he sussed out how much they'd have to spend to maintain any form of ambition in terms of Europe, etc, the purse strings tightened.

Without him they'd be a promotion chasing championship club like boro. Without Ashley we'd be a European chasing team like Tottenham.

He's been very similar to Ashley the last few years, trying to get by spending as little as possible. Only difference is we actually scout players.

And he sacks managers.

I've got no idea why people continue to assume this will happen.

Assume what?

All it would take is someone with half a brain and without an ulterior motive to get somewhere close.

* Hire a likeable manager with attacking philosophies.

* In source all income revenues such as catering, merchandise.

* Produce nice fucking kits.

* Choose wisely sponsors who represent the club.

* Communicate with the fans on a regular basis, allowing them to voice their opinions.

* Don't interfere with anything on the pitch.

* Don't embarrass the club.

If all that happened, we'd be a much better business prospect, with happy paying fans exploiting all income revenues. We could still operate within our means, sell but replace with quality, like Southampton, like Porto or AMadrid.

If us and them swapped chairman/owners, we'd be halfway there imho. Like i said it wouldn't take much; we are the most mismanaged club in the league, bar Leeds/Portsmouth/Blackpool we are arguably up there with the worst in recent history.

If they had a goalscorer the would be a handy outfit because they won't concede many. They will struggle this season, but will survive.

That video man!  ;D ;D

Surely even the most level-headed amongst them must realise, in the scheme of things, how utterly insignificant they are to us right now? Right?

Nope, as usual - we are their world. Well done on being 2 points and zero wins ahead of us. Party time in the land of the dead.

Edit - "Sell" Pardew? F*cking cretins.....

Very wrong. Apparently, it's actually them who have have caused ALL of our misery:

If only. Is it wrong that a world in which Sunderland getting to Wembley is our biggest concern seems like some sort of a magic Utopia right now? Have I really been Pardewed too?
