150 odd PL appearances; 45 in Championship winning season. 12 seasons in total. Plenty of meaningful contributions and a great asset for a long time. Farewell sweet prince. Hope you tag on a couple of seasons additional playing time and have plenty of fun in the twilight years.

Will be weird seeing him in the colours of another team, assuming he gets one.

Gateshead probably unless Sunderland go for him.

Aye, he was decent enough at defending for a while but should've moved on at least two years ago to play some football. Ultimately, his choice to hang around earning decent money.

Nice lad, good pro, some good performances over the years but ultimately not of the standard we need any more.

Best of luck to him and I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up some kind of club-serving ambassador/foundation etc role after he packs in.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him rock up at MK with Willo, or Gateshead with Elliot.

Would love to see him get a good move. He's probably not good enough to be a regular for any team in the Premier League but I'm sure he could still do a job in the Championship.

Never hated him, he had some decent spells for us, particularly with Rafa, where the number 3 was pretty well earned.

Ah man, what a lovely tribute post by the club and his own words themselves were class. PD! Wishing him the very very best in the future.

I never really rated him since even at his best he was tough to watch on the ball and tucked in too much in a moderately successful bid to provide defensive stability. But he was a below-par Premier League player for what was for the most part a pretty below-par Premier League side, and it's hard to begrudge someone who was born in the area, came up through the youth ranks and wound up making a serious contribution to our first team while spending effectively the whole of his career with the club. Well done!
