Not quite sure why we're so keen to shoot from range, like.

Would prefer us to look to work it into the 18 yard-box and fail rather than just pull the trigger and not even bother trying.

Same reason any side starts doing it surely? Desperation. Cant find your strikers with a simple pass so have a smash.

Not seen anything of the game, but it sounds like more the same. Which considering we have the same manager, same players and same tactics is certainly a surprise.

You don't need to watch this game to see it. It was the same shit.

Yep, the shots got wilder and wilder. Then again, if I'm 25 yards out and see Shola in the box, maybe I'd have a go too

Good thing you didn't watch that. If you'd seen Shola barge over a WH defender while Cisse has just won the header you;d have gouged your eyes out.

Desperation really shouldn't be setting in after 20 minutes, tbf.

Not to say that wasnt an improved defensive performance, because it was.

Such was the incredible gulf in quality between ManCity's attack and Wham's today i would hope it would be.

Well yeah. Theyve scored 6 goals in their last 14 away games & 5 of those were from players who werent playing today. Not sure we should be shouting from the rooftops about our CS.

Dont exactly see a lot of goals with Pardews footy like.

No coincidence at all that we became shockingly impotent in front of goal as soon as Ba left. He was a striker that made something out of nothing, and it papered over many a crack, including Pardew's asshole.

Our squad is crying out for a straight up and honest 433, and he's too much of a pussy to play it. It's the only way he might have a chance to salvage his career here.

Tells the story doesnt it. No belief in eachother to score, give it ben Arfa & hope for the best.

Agree with you on this like.

Movement off the ball especially in the center has been nonexistent for a long time with us. It's obviously something Pardew's unable to facilitate one way or the other. We were so static today as we approached the final third - there were so few options other than usually HBA but occasionally Sammy, Sissoko, or Debuchy bombing forward and trying to make something happen. It's gone on far too long for it to be merely an issue of personnel.

It's why I'm so indifferent about the transfer window - even if we bring in quality, we tend to coach it right out of players.

As a spectacle that was fucking dross. The first half was atrocious, from both teams, proper basic level, off-the-cuff football with no pattern or flow.

Second half was a little better from us, bit of urgency and a bit more movement and possession. It was still a pile of shit but someone had sprinkled a bit of glitter on it. Thought Ben Arfa did well, looked lively, Coloccini is still a very good player, both FBs got involved and overlapped and there was a definite improvement.

However, we're crippled by the lack of movement at CF. Shola gives you virtually nothing, he's shot after 20 minutes of each half and was struggling to even get in the box towards the end of the game. Play develops on the wing and the crosser looks up and has to pick out 1, maybe 2 NUFC shirts with about 6 or 7 opposition players to avoid. The rest are just watching cross after cross get cut out and cleared. Still causing no threat whatsoever at set pieces, still losing men when defending balls into the box too.

It was a little better but we're crying out for 2 new CFs. No shots on target in 3 hours says it all. Could easily have lost that today.

First half was drab. Second half was slightly better, still didn't look like scoring though.

The biggest problem is that there is no movement whatsoever, especially when our creative players have the ball. Pardew might be blameable for a lot of things but it's not his fault professional footballers don't fucking make a move. Gouffran did when he came on, but he needs pairing with someone who can score goals.

Debuchy got raped by Matt Jarvis...twice. Worrying. Sammy at least applied himself when he came on, bit of enthusiasm was welcome but by then West Ham had everybody behind the ball. Usual shit from a big Sam team throughout, lots of time wasting, theatricals. Dowd bought it all as well, idiot.
