I would hope not because if that's the case we still have not replaced the players who have left and only roughly spent the money from Cabaye and Debuchy also. I can't see us spending more than 10 Million on someone, perhaps 12 million at the most.. Just under what it would take to get someone like Lacazette, PEA, or even Remy.. If you look around the 'top 5' leagues there don't seem to be many great options. In our market these days 10 million would buy someone like Jordan Rhodes.. not the worst idea but far from the guaranteed goal scorer that we are looking for.. The only way I can see us bringing in a big name striker is either on loan or someone like Darren Bent who won't cost that much but still has a record of scoring goals in the premier. We have to factor in our overall goal which is primarily to finish between 8th and 12th approx. Start adding quality strikers or CB's to what we've already signed and we'd be in danger of qualifying for Europe at the cost of at least £20m in fees and wages. Our CB's (especially when MYM leaves) are to put it bluntly, terrible. We're going to concede buckets of goals this season, especially from corners. Need central defensive reinforcements badly.
