I could cope if we signed another winger for the right and Grenier to supply the strikers we have. On the upside it might backfire on pardew and be worth the misery. oldtype Posted August 11, 2014 Share Posted August 11, 2014 We wouldn't have paid for both Ferreya and Reviere unless the idea was that at least one of them has the potential to come good. If neither does we'll dip into the market again in January. It would be downright odd if we bid for another striker at this point given that we usually only play one anyway. We might try to sign Grenier if he comes available, but without Europe (and cups lol) we have so few games we do not need more midfielders. Anita, Sissoko, Tiote, Colback and Abeid is what we got for 2 spots. You may say they are not good enough, but don't think we need so many CM when there is a clear weakness in CB. Strikers are a bit unproven, but then again we have Cisse, Ferreyra, Riviere and Perez fighting for one spot. Even with Obertan and Aarons I still think we need a winger before CM.
