Guest
If Berahino comes here because no-one better wants him, the only way he'll go somewhere better is by proving himself here for 2-3 seasons so we can't really lose.
Odear
Tottenham are rarely silly with money... they certainly wouldn't do a deal that was not in their best interest. Modric, Berbatov, Bale etc.. the only time I can remember them being done was when Sol Campbell left in his prime. They would have sold him a year or two earlier if they had any idea he'd go to Arsenal. That's why i'm suspicious about the whole Townsend thing, if he's 14m quid worth of winger and they are going for a top 4, why not keep him? Definitely not like they have to sell before they can buy either.
Hanshithispantz
I don't think Townsend improves us that much (if at all) but Berahino would be massive. If we sign him and a left back I think we can be pretty versatile with the 4-5-1, 4-3-3 & 4-4-2 (diamond ala Chelsea w/Balack, Lampard & Deco) depending on injuries, suspensions and rotation. Odear
Is Berahino any better than Lua Lua was? (similar players imho) And would Lua Lua be worth around 20m in todays market?
Parky
Bern is a very dangerous and quick player and unlike others of his kind knows where the net is. On the same level as say a Remy imo. Will take a few games to get up to speed mind.
Hanshithispantz
Lomana LuaLua who never managed anywhere near 15 Premier League goals in 1 season, never mind at the age of 21?
Dave
Why aren't we trying to buy a half decent fucking left back?
Guest chopey
Why aren't we trying to buy a half decent f***ing left back? I think ginis mate is lined up for a summer move

Hanshithispantz
It's one of the oddest comparisons I've ever read. Like comparing Anthony Martial to Paul Furlong.

madras
We've just started to see how good we can be with Wijnaldum behind a front man, I don't want to be changing that at the minute. Can Berahino play that role in front of Gini ?, as much as I like Mitrovic, right now we need the goals and hopefully be able to keep developing him next season. timeEd32
Is Berahino any better than Lua Lua was? (similar players imho) And would Lua Lua be worth around 20m in todays market? Berahino and Lua Lua are similar in the same way YaYa Toure and David James are similar. Well spotted.
Altamullan
Is there a past Newcastle player, or other well known bod, who is a reasonable comparison to Berahino (has a similar style of play)?

sempuki
If WBA want £30m as claimed in a few papers today he's going nowhere.
KaKa
£30 million?! Ha! West Brom really come across quite badly in all of this, it's no wonder Berahino has been so stroppy. Pulis doesn't want to use him, but they aren't being realistic in their valuation so he can get a move.
mrmojorisin75
Fuck doesn't the kid just put in a transfer request? No one ever seems to do that anymore.
KaKa
Pretty sure he did in the summer, and it it was rejected by West Brom! They are absolutely nuts.
KaKa
Just read the article regarding the £30 million. Apparently West Brom are demanding that fee from Spurs and Chelsea to spite them, and if they are unwilling to pay it they will then prepare to sell him to us for £15 million! Apparently the West Brom chairman is p*ssed with Spurs from last summer, and I guess if Roman is involved he just feels they ought to rinse Chelsea. Sounds ridiculous all around, and we'd better not stay involved in this mess too long, or we may end up with nothing.
mrmojorisin75
He needs to get himself to the PFA or summit if he really wants out then, WBA appear intent on fucking the kid over as they're never getting that money and aren't really playing him anyways. Guest
Didn't Spurs try a cunt's trick though? Sure the WBA owner said a fee had been agreed but then Spurs moved the goalposts and offered it in ridiculous instalments where WBA wouldn't get the benefit?
KaKa
Yeah, I recall something like that being mentioned actually. Well we pay our fees upfront so that will be a huge bonus for us.
