Mole_Toonfan
In today's game, Ferguson would have been sacked for not winning the league instantly. KK would have been replaced for not winning the league after leading it for al,out a full season. It's all about instant success or maintaining a status quo. Ranieri wins the league and gets sacked to be replaced probably by some English manager like Pardew who will keep them up only to be sacked when that status is in Jeopardy. Fair enough if Leciester go out and get someone like Ancelotti or someone of that ilk, but you just know it's going to be some no mark Brit or some up and coming European manager who will never ever do what Ranieri did. English football needs to f*** off basically. You do realise they could very easily go down right and shown nothing to suggest he could stop the slide? those managers would be likely be sacked too in the same situation, not everything is about money and everything being shit. Learn to check your emotions at the door and realise it's not just about money and them sacking him because they are not living up to winning the league, they could very easily get relegated. ( they are 1 point in front of Hull ) You don't just ignore that because you won the league the year before, that's moronic.
Tiresias
The leicester players are ungrateful cunts, ranieri got them all an extra zero on their price tag and an extra zero in any contract negotiations.

Colos Short and Curlies
So potentially big Sam, Pardew and Sunderland to go down in the same season?
Kevo
Hopefully Pardew goes there and relegates them along with Palace and Sunderland!
SEMTEX
So they were shit and at risk of relegation when he signed up, he won them the league, and now they're shit and at risk of relegation again. Is it worth sacking the guy who won you the league? His job might have been more secure had he not won the league last year. He would've been expected to struggle. Gottlob
Last season wasn't a fluke, but Ranieri and the players managed to get the most out of limited resources. I think only Kante and Mahrez looked like exceptional footballers, but Leicester found a counter attacking style that helped protect their slow defenders, and Vardy was hitting everything first time and routinely finding the net. This season they had nothing to play for in the league, and plenty of distractions in the form of the Champions League and the inevitable criticism and speculation once their league performances faltered. It is one thing to feel that you're part of a project, that you're striving to improve or that scrapping against relegation will constitute a successful season. But when you've so clearly peaked it must be hard to find motivation, and when you're unable to replicate last season's form you'll start questioning yourself and your teammates and your manager. I don't think Ranieri bought well in the summer. Slimani was almost too rational, a strong, all-round forward who hasn't suited their style of play, although that has dissipated through formation changes and now that teams sit back and allow them more possession. They certainly needed some younger, quicker defenders. But Leicester could have scraped survival last season and it might well have been regarded as a relative success, and their position this season would then have been met with little hysteria. Last season was simply exceptional. And Ranieri's sacking is a real shame for football, because it seems to reassert messages like 'Be careful what you wish for', 'Don't get ideas above your station', 'Europe is a distraction', etc., all those perspectives which rob fans of hope and excitement and which provide a fertile ground for managers like Allardyce and Pardew. Ronaldo
'Europe is a distraction', etc., all those perspectives which rob fans of hope and excitement and which provide a fertile ground for managers like Allardyce and Pardew. To be fair, I think Allardyce has always said positive things about the Europa League.
