Joelinton7 Posted Monday at 21:28 Share Posted Monday at 21:28 (edited) He’ll be chewed up and spat out, reputation in tatters within six months. That club is a graveyard for promising careers. Edited Monday at 21:29 by Joelinton7
Dr Jinx Posted Monday at 21:30 Share Posted Monday at 21:30 Amorim I reckon is already lined up to replace Pep, that’s why Viana is making the move. Ornstein usually spot on but not 100% on these things.. I think they’ll approach and haggle and it will put him off. City are so much better run as a club, they just pay generally what the asking is and are decisive about it which is the most important bit.

Unless that's already been discussed, which I doubt as there's no guarantee Pep will go then I would be very surprised if he turned this move down. Doctor Zaius Posted Monday at 22:26 Share Posted Monday at 22:26 I know nothing of Amorim but I hope it's not him. While their are systemic issues at Man Utd, I'm not sure they'll carry on being completely shit forever. A good manager can turn a club round. Chelsea for example seem to be back on track despite being a shitshow. Feel like we've rode our luck with crap Man Utd managers and they'll get something that works eventually. Having said that, id pay good money to see the soon to be Sir Gareth Southgate stinking out Old Trafford. I fear they've got more sense than that though
nufcjb Posted Tuesday at 01:20 Share Posted Tuesday at 01:20 Well, if it is Amorim, and he still fucks up, it will be even more funnier and hillarious. You can bring in any promising foreign coach, but the PL is something entirely different to what they would have experienced previously. and if he does fail, guess who Gary Neville will still blame? Ronson333 Posted Tuesday at 16:09 Share Posted Tuesday at 16:09 Let’s see how good this guy is, much easier being top dog in the Portuguese league than the big prem. Remember AVB, similar age to this guy and was no where near.
r0cafella Posted Wednesday at 00:35 Share Posted Wednesday at 00:35 Really curious to see how this works out, the profile is remarkably similar to the last guy they just spent a fortune on and binned off.

I think that’s true to an extent and Ratcliffe has a whiff of Ashley about him in terms of pissing loads of people off. Ashworth and Barrera will slowly start to have an effect I think though and Ten Hag was clearly never up to it ability wise. Amorim appears to be a talented manager but they’re going to have to start getting their recruitment right.

Chelsea won the FA Cup and Champions League that season as well. Was that all down to Di Matteo? Similarly, he was sacked at Spurs after 18 months despite having the third highest win ratio of any of their managers, and the highest since 1946. They were 8 points off the top of the league when he was dismissed. That's usually as good as Spurs can hope for if you ask me. I think nowhere near is a little bit of a stretch. He didn't just get a fair crack at it. Amorim will get more than a fair crack at us if he's the man brought in.
