If at 8pm before the Europa Cup final you thought he needed to go, which seemed to be where a lot of Spud fans were if they lost. 

 

One game of football, one of the worst matches i've ever seen. To be dominated by a Man Utd side who are dreadful, and win with an own goal. If i remember correctly what i saw the other day, making 1 pass every 52 seconds or something very close to that. If that dreadful game convinced you to suddenly say, now he should say......i think you would be mental. 

 

And that stat from the press release by the club, 78 points in 66 games. That's dreadful league form for a long period of time.

It’s been some time since Spurs had blockbuster signings.  For a long time they had a free run at younger players the top 4/5 didn’t go for.   They had Carrick, Berbatov, Bale, Modric, Dele, Kane, Son. Even Dembele and Kyle Walker. 
 

 

Now the chasing pack is a lot smarter. When they hired Poch and everyone else had the Bruce, Pardew, Allardyce etc.  
 

Spurs still have their pick - Bergvall, Gray and others signed for a lot of money.

Al is far to passionate sometimes.  The football was diabolical, I recon it was harder for Howe to win the League Cup, than for Ange to win the Europa League.

Now it's seeded, i think the League Cup is harder to win than the FA Cup. The Europa League was piss easy compared to what we faced in the League Cup, and possibly what Palace faced in the later FA Cup rounds.

Yes for Spurs, that's not good enough. At a club with years of underachievement, like us under Bruce, many fans would snap your hand ff for 1.2 points a game and a trophy.

 

Thankfully we've got the trophy blank monkey off our back now and can ask other hypothetical questions.

Shame, clearly the right decision for Spurs but like others I was really hoping they would "Do a Man U" keep him on, let him buy a couple of overpriced players overly suited to a particular system then bin him off midseason. I would have given us 2 transfer windows and a season to put them further in our rearview mirror.

I liked him at first. He had reached the top level by an unconventional route, and seemed to bring something different. However, I don't think he adjusted to the different level of competition that he was facing - perhaps because he thought he was already the finished article and didn't need to. This season, he lost composure under pressure and started arguing with supporters, the media and officialdom. What's more, there have been questions as to whether his training methods were contributing to his team's injury problems.

 

I didn't get the impression that he was working closely with his backroom staff. Eddie clearly works in a team framework and seeks other opinions, but that seemed absent with Ange. 

 

Another curious thing was that he didn't seem to communicate with his players on the pitch. I've often wondered whether managers shouting and gesticulating on the touchline was really effective, but Ange seemed to go in the opposite direction, as though making a particular point of not doing that. At times, Spurs looked like they needed some tactical adjustments, but they didn't come.

Spurs absolutely right to get rid of Ange. He's crafted the worst Spurs team I've ever seen. They were absolutely hopeless in the league and showed no reasons why they'd improve.

 

Yes, he won the Europa League, but the chasm between the PL and the rest of Europe means Spurs had a budget that absolutely dwarfs all of the other clubs in the competition (aside from Man Utd).

It's also weakened from no CL clubs dropping into it. They'd have been at worst, second favourites to win it all season. 

 

Based on facts and foresight, Levy is bang on to peddle him else he'd be gone by Christmas anyway when their woeful league form no doubt continues
