TRon
He's not an exciting choice by any means like, I'd far prefer us to go for someone unproven if they've seemingly got a decent footballing philosophy (god I hate saying that phrase ). He would be a huge upgrade on Pardew though. Under Ashley we're not going to get someone like that. We'll get a "safe choice", and Moyes is the best of those. What makes Moyes a realistic target any more than the risky choice? His salary is likely to rule him out before it even gets on the table, and thank fuck for that. He's probably getting sacked from Man Utd man, he'll be in no position to demand huge salaries from anyone David O'Leary and Venables turned us down when they were both out of work because of the derisory contracts put in front of them. We really shouldn't under-estimate Ashley's penny pinching.
Kimbo
He was always going to be disastrous at Man Utd this season with that squad. All the pressure of a title winning side with a team who personnel wise are no where near that level. But to have them playing the style of football he has speaks volumes. It's like when Allardyce came here, there was an assumption that with better players and more resources his style would be a bit more sophisticated, but it definitely wasn't. midstoon
Definately would take moyes. whoever took the man united job was going to get a hiding this season anyway.

Man U are unrecognisable from the team Ferguson left. They used to charge forward in numbers and that's all gone out of the window with safety first Moyes. SEMTEX
I mean, I'd take Moyes, but it wouldn't exactly change a great deal. We'd probably be a place or two higher, and we'd obviously still be run on a shoestring budget. And we'd still be ran by a manager who doesn't play particularly great football & can't get a team playing consistently throughout the season. Meh. GeordieT
Whilst I wouldn't be excited by Moyes in the slightest, it would probably represent an astute appointment.

ElDiablo
Moyes would be a total fool to come here after his reputation has taken a huge hit at Man Utd, he'll want control and investment and everyone knows you won't get that here. Look at it from his point of view, coming into a job with big expectation yet without the resources to deliver on that expectation, you'd run a mile and rightly so. The best we can hope for is another subservient wanker - just one hopefully not as shit as Pardew.

A lower league manager with even a basic understanding of passing football would be an upgrade. You could probably get someone who coaches a local U-15 team to do the job for £200 a week. Upgrade. Wallace
Could imagine Moyes going to West Ham as they would probably pay the biggest wages out of the rest of the league considering what Allardyce is on.

Collage
While I agree he wouldn't be an exciting choice, Moyes strikes me as an honest, hard-working man and manager. I'd have him at Newcastle, no doubt whatsoever.
ElDiablo
I see the sneering "man utd way" lasted all of a season after Fergie. LOL The best part about it without doubt.
