gbandit
Based on what I saw of Everton the other day and their home form under the Tory I don’t think there’s any hope of them getting relegated. Think they’ll end up having a relatively comfortable season and finish 13th-14th
GeordieDazzler
Lampard is the best out of the new PFM crowd. Sort of helps that he failed as Chelsea as that link won’t constantly hang over him. He’s signed well and has calmed some of the turbulence there. They look competent, although lack of firepower will be their big issue. He’s probably not going to be an elite manager but he’s miles ahead of Gerrard, Bruce and co. McCormick
I don’t think Lampard is massively better than Gerrard, he’s just bought a load of great dressing room characters and leaders that have made his job easier. I think it’s a really underrated aspect of making new signings and a principle we’ve been putting a lot of work into as well. Kid Icarus
Is it not all just recency bias with Everton not being terrible and Villa looking one dimensional? It wasn't that long ago that the same was said about Gerrard being miles ahead of Lampard when Villa were looking decent and Everton were a shower of shit. GeordieDazzler
Gerrards looked shite pretty much the entire time he’s been at Villa and has spent a bomb and they look no better. Lampard inherited a team in freefall. He’s slowly improved them and they look a solid enough outfit this season.
Dr.Spaceman
Gerrard is bang average and has proved very little as a manager to warrant any praise. Lampard has sorted Everton, to an extent, however I don't think he'll get them back to being regular top half finishers. In reality one of them is a 6/10 and the other a 5.5/10. samptime29
I don't think Lampard is great or owt but he isn't a total shit head. Everton defence looks a lot better, shape more solid for sure.
Deuce
Chelsea hiring Salzburg’s sporting director as their own seems a shrewd piece of business.

Lampard has made Everton really solid at the back and they are a team that’s hard to beat due to their fighting spirit. I think it was the only option for Lampard with the squad he inherited but he’s been successful at that. Comfortable 12th-15th place finish IMO and there’s not much more you could expect from them right now. Gerrard looks completely lost and has a squad that should be fighting for 7th-9th but is not getting the results and they play awful football. Seriously can’t see him being capable of turning them around.

I meant I could see them going for Rafa as an interim and if he isn't interested going for Dyche. They need a steady hand to stop the downward slide to the championship. The College Dropout
Lampard's gone full proficient PFM. Got a bunch of good lads to grind out enough results to get them lower midtable. When he tries to make them an expansive side - he'll be found out. Gerrard is going through the same process except the demands are higher.

The Bonk
Wouldn’t be Watford without a panic sacking and random manager appointment.

Mattoon
Slaven Bilić will be Watfords 9th manager in 3 years, nothing like a bit of stability to get you back in the PL.
gbandit
To be honest, they’re looking very poor considering Pedro and Sarr are in the top five best players in the league, but it’s Watford and they’re a joke
Mike
Thought it was odd Watford hadn't sacked a manager recently.
