Maybe Tavernier should be player-manager with how much of a legend he is at that club

And his first task as manager should be to re-sign the Newcastle 5 - Gael Bigirimana, Shane Ferguson, Kevin Mbabu, Remie Streete and Haris Vuckic

Tell you what I was wrong about moyes. Amazing what he's done there.

Also might be the nail in dycheball. Looks like it doesn't work in 2025.

Chuffed for beto too. Literally looked like rivierre for most of the season.

I know I shouldn't compare it to 'normal' wages but I find it mad that £12k a week for a second division club is seen as unattractive. It's so far from reality when a manager can make more in 2 weeks than a large amount of people in the country do in their annual salary

Anyway Valerein Ismael is going to Blackburn

£624k per annum. Enormous money but this stuff always ends up being about context. Wonder what the average salary is in that league. A lot of people would kill for £62.4k per annum

For comparison a D1 college basketball coach would earn in the low millions.  A college American football coach at a D1 would earn several million.

The English football pyramid is one of the few things in this country that is genuinely wealthy. £60k in this country is considered really good.

I hope they hold on to him forever

Me too, because that would mean he’d been great and we’d won lots of things. Not sure you’ve thought this through.

Nah, think that he’ll get a run at it next season with a big striker signing and Saka back fit.

Could be quite damaging psychologically if Liverpool win the title in the game against Arsenal which is possible, although he may be able to forge that into motivation.

:eatshit:

So they just bring inhalf their first team from 2001-02 and hope for the best? Would be like us putting Shearer, Bellamy, Dyer, Bramble and Harper in charge

Nah...Arsenal don't have that much imagination. Although the Mysterons might call him back to his home planet

That would be epic. Like a sketch from the Fast Show [emoji38]
