Robster
56 minutes ago, KaKa said: David Ornstein has reported that the club will stand by Slot even in the event that his side does not qualify for the Champions League in 2026/27. Speaking on the Athletic FC podcast, he said: “All of our information is that FSG, the ownership, the sporting hierarchy at Liverpool – they intend to stick with Arne Slot. From the conversations I’ve had – even if there’s no Champions League football – that’s the intention.” YES PLEASE !
Froggy
It's being talked about like keeping Slot is ridiculous, and he won the league last year. They could still finish third in the league as well. Maybe a bit premature for that kind of stuff.

Recently watched a compilation of Juan Sebastian Veron and how much of an incredible footballer he was. Why didn't he work out at Man Utd?

Why didn't he work out at Man Utd? I honestly liked Veron. It's made out that he was a flop and I never agreed with it. Always say he was more underwhelming given the reputation he was coming with. He just struggled with the demands of the Premier League I think and he admitted himself that fitness and fatigue was his problem. He was incredible in Europe for us. CallumG6
Juan Sebastian Veron - christ, that's a name I've not heard in a while. Instantly makes me think of Hernan Crespo, decent player he was.

Criminal they lost that final. Think Crespo was one of the few not to get the get back CL 2 years later.

Got to be some kind of performance-related termination clause in that, surely? Todd and Co. have made some odd decisions in their time but if they’ve genuinely committed to LinkedIn Liam for 6 years, that is as bizarre as it is reckless. Must be class being the talksport intern and getting to read places like RTG all day for material so you can make stuff up to report. Likewise the website that reported us as looking at Mourinho the other day probably just glanced at the Eddie Howe threads on here or spent five minutes on twitter. I appreciate people at least mentioning that’s where they heard it, so I don’t need to think about it . Blows my mind that people take it seriously.
