Such a bizzare decsision from every level to keep him on like.

Even if this £60M spiel was true (which it blatantly isn't) why on earth would the board trust AP with this sort of money. 60M to spend is a sizeable investment, especially form Ashley. The man has shown time and time again how players have regressed under him. The players we sign under Pardew simply aren't a long term investment because the majority will regress under his archaic football thus we fail to maximise the resale potential that has underpinned all of our acquisitions in the last half a decade. Furthermore our 2014 so far suggests that things aren't going to improve. Ashley would be forced to sack him if he carried on with this form, then you've got to expect a new manager to come in and work with a players signed over the summer when he wasnt there. Those lot down the road are evidence that its incredibly difficult and takes time.

Whats more than likely is that we'll spend little and we'll continue to struggle. Those defending Pardew argue that our poor form is down to a lack of signings, so therefore if we plan to spend nowt, whats the chances of our form changing under Pardew with practically the same group of clearly unmotivated players?

None of it makes sense but then again, no decision by the board has ever been well thought out in terms of future strategy or the welfare of the club.

The reason to fuck the cups off -

"The board outlined research into Premier League clubs in relation to domestic cup competitions in the last five years, with Swansea City the only club outside the traditional top six to win a domestic cup and not be relegated in the same season (Birmingham and Wigan Athletic were both relegated). Independent research into the cost of relegation over the past ten years showed there is a 50% chance of not gaining promotion back to the top flight and a 30% chance of being relegated to League One or further. In addition, if clubs do return to the Premier League, it takes four years on average."

The board need to lay off the statistics. :buck2:

Its the same kind of 2+2=7 bullshit that keeps our better players out of the team and others in the wrong positions.  Seems the entire fucking place is run on stats, the people running the club from top to bottom pay companies to tell them what to think, fucking mongs.

My takeaway from the meeting was can't try cups cos will be relegated

This.

Also, wtf?

Document question: What is the club's ambition going forward? Given the target this season was a top ten finish and it has been achieved, what will the target for progression be in the league next year? Also, what is the target for cup competitions next year?

The board reiterated the club's commitment to an open and consistent communications process with fans. The board accepted that the second half of the season had been disappointing but underlined its aim of improving on 16th-place finish in 2012/13 with a top ten finish in 2013/14 had been realised. It was stated that the club's aims for the 2014/15 Premier League season would be made public once they had been determined. The board reiterated that the Premier League will remain the club's priority.

-----

So, erm, "fuck the cupz," alright, but you still haven't determined WHERE you want to finish next year? How about a simple fucking "we'll aim for the European places" placeholder of a statement? At least fucking LIE to us and make us feel good. Motherfuckers, man. Mother. Fuck.

Chill oot. They will state the targets for next season when they have a better idea surely.

No point expecting Europe if the sum total of our summer spend is Colback and a half chewed ham sandwich.

Surely you set targets and then act in the transfer window accordingly, not set targets dependent on how the transfer window goes?

They have stated a target - 'as high a finish as possible'! - Which of course means sod all and goes hand in hand with their 'pound for pound' bollocks.

Really, when they are setting targets, they mean a point at which the bonus scheme kicks in. Guess they'll raise that to 8th next year, but they can't set it yet as it will depend heavily on whether we have a decentish summer, not least because the squad itself needs to believe the target is achievable.

The fans anger will be simmering all summer & could easily get nasty at the first home game. The problem will be that more than likely the most vocal fans have decided enough is enough and have quit allowing him an easier ride, the only hope if that other fans start turning soon.

Those minutes are f***ing cringeworthy.

Someone on Twitter last night described the meeting as "good". Was Cheryl Cole there giving blowjobs?

:sweetjesus:

Our fans are more likely to forget tbh,

Just like they did when we went 1 up at Liverpool

Hopefully. Unfortunately only way to force Ashley to sack him is no one to show up at SJP. I've cancelled my ST but the vast majority won't and people won't stop going to games through blind loyalty to a club that couldn't give a single fuck about them.

Why is it a bizarre decision? Its a symbiotic relationship. No need to change so long as the status quo is maintained.

And there you have it all those people still going next season are the ones keeping this man at the club - well you're welcome to him and to watch the some of the most unattractive football in the history of the club, whilst Mr Ashley continues to laugh at you all.

That assumes their is nobody out there who would accept the shit the board gives him but is also a better manager than Pardew.  Him being a mong who ruins every player we sign and makes every point we gain a struggle isn't a plus point even for our board.

I hope he fucking dies the absolute fraudulent cunt. He's killed the club, stamped on its windpipe while it lays in the gutter.

Hope we go down, lose every single season ticket holder and cost Ashley a fortune. Then I might considering returning as a fan. I'm done, the club has no soul and there's nothing left to love about it.

Fuck you alan, fuck you mike, I hope you catch aids you fucking parasites.

 It's so needless too.  People would be content with just a few small changes, unfortunately those changes being enforced would require a totally different attitude from those running the show.

Too bad , as long as Pardew is here i am staying away. Sad day as we are not strong enough to force a change. Too many muppets and idiots.
