BottledDog
Can't really compare Sahin and Gundogan really.... Sahin is a very static midfielder who struggles to escape his markers and not that great at pressing. Gundogan is a great dribbler who presses exceedingly well and has the dynamism to escape his markers which Sahin doesn't. He'll shine at any club in the world... Madrid, Barca etc etc doesn't matter he'll be great. Newcastle? Under Pardew?!?
Mole_Toonfan
Yes even under Pardew
BottledDog
Great stuff. We just need to get Mr Kinnear on board with this and we're sorted!
ponsaelius
Former worlds 3rd highest paid player Dario Conca going back to Fluminense. Won the Asian Champas League today, not hanging around for the CWC?

I think Gundogan is world class and hope he doesn't leave Dortmund. I don't want any of their players to leave tbh, that club is just brilliant. Flip
Conca is such a good player. Too bad he's argentinian.
Ryan
Free agent Arne Friedrich on trial at Dortmund. Expect they'll sign him as cover to Hummels and Sokratis.
Dr Colossus
Free agent Arne Friedrich on trial at Dortmund. Expect they'll sign him as cover to Hummels and Sokratis. Aye, with Subotic's injury it'd be a good stopgap.
Beren
Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner, 25, has bizarrely tipped himself for a move to either Barcelona or Real Madrid when the transfer window reopens in January. Of course
Dinho lad
surely he was taking the piss?
LRD
Nah, I think he genuinely believes it. He's off the chart when it comes to self-confidence.
Fugazi
I don't mind arrogant players when they've got the skills to back it up, like Zlatan, but i've never understood Bendtner...
AyeDubbleYoo
Bendtner's actually delusional though, he's not just confident. He's the Joe Kinnear of footballers, he probably thinks he has 20 goals already this season.
joeyt
Barcelona are considering a surprise January bid for Fulham striker Dimitar Berbatov. The Spanish champions want the ex-Manchester United man, 32, to provide experienced cover for the injured Lionel Messi.
AyeDubbleYoo
It would definitely be a surprise.
colinmk
Would actually really like to see that happen.
Village Idiot
We are linked with half a dozen players every week though. Wouldn't read too much into it. Pretty sure if we sign a striker it will be a Plan B type guy. I like Berba though.
KaKa
Berbatov would love all that pressing I'm sure.
AyeDubbleYoo
I liked Berbatov until this season. I didn't realise quite how far he was prepared to take his 'I don't give a shit, I'm far too good to work to help out the team' schtick. He could never play for a team that expects everyone to work hard.

Mole_Toonfan
I liked Berbatov until this season. I didn't realise quite how far he was prepared to take his 'I don't give a s***, I'm far too good to work to help out the team' schtick. He could never play for a team that expects everyone to work hard. Messi must be above the law then.
Village Idiot
One of the reasons Messi was moved central is that a 4-3-3 allows for the CF to be a bit of a lazyarse, which enabled him to play every fucking game and not tracking back. Martino seems to be changing that a bit though.
Mole_Toonfan
Yeah also another reason it was done was because the fullbacks are not as exposed. Its not mentioned a lot but having Ronaldo and Marcelo on the wing for Madrid is a major weakness as well as a major strength which big teams exploit as obviously Marcelo doesn't get any sort of cover and gets exposed. Similar would happen to Alves if Messi plays on the right more often.
