Yet the public narrative is that we are a selling club and Pardew kept getting his best players sold so he got bad results. Just about everyone is a selling club and every manager has to deal with losing his best players. It's really annoying when I see this argument. Didn't get Remy over the line either which we could've made a profit on (and we would have sold him by now anyway). Contract situation meant Enrique was low value. He's had a better start to this season than Thiago and David, yet plays less. A goal scoring threat as well.
