Robbo
With Jack in the side, obviously anything can happen! The exclamation mark annoys me an unreasonable amount there, as if he said it with a massive shit eating grin on his stupid twatty face.

Guest GeordieAce
Hang on, when were we good against Man City? Must be referring to last season when Tiotes strike got disallowed. To be fair, I thought we deserved something from that game.

mouldy_uk
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/newcastle-vs-man-city-pardew-4063311 Newcastle boss Alan Pardew is so desperate to beat his Manchester City jinx that he’s looking to a Sunderland old boy to act as a lucky charm. Jack Colback made a controversial move to St James’ this summer when he quit the Black Cats as a free agent. The Toon-supporting midfielder figured in three of Sunderland’s four successive 1-0 home wins against City. And Pardew is hoping the 24-year-old Colback can work some magic for the Magpies against the champions tomorrow. City are Newcastle’s first-day opponents for the second season running – 12 months ago, Manuel Pellegrini’s men won 4-0 at the Etihad. Pardew has also lost all eight games against City, who have won their last 10 against Toon in all competitions. But Pardew, reminded of Colback’s winning run with Sunderland over City, quipped: “Thank god for that – it’s why I signed him! “One of our best displays last season was against City, and we were beaten. They’re the type of team who, even if you’re at your very best against them, will still beat you. “But I do think we’re really well set for this game. Hopefully we can get some kind of result against them because our record isn’t great. With Jack in the side, obviously anything can happen!” http://i.imgur.com/lol8Kdh.gif?1 http://i.minus.com/irR2qtMNJ5Xw3.gif http://i.imgur.com/0wivOMd.gif

NEEJ
Wish we'd give him a blanket media ban. The bloke isn't right in the head and he needs censored. (Pardew, not neesy, by the way).
r0cafella
Colback isn't his first choice though as soon as Tiote is fit he will be on the bench /s
Geordie Ahmed
Colback isn't his first choice though as soon as Tiote is fit he will be on the bench /s He won't be dropping Colback, his comments about him show he is clearly a Pardew favourite. It's Anita that will be dropped when Tiote is back

Guest firetotheworks
With Jack in the side anything can happen? Somewhere on another planet, where gravity makes things fall up, time moves backwards, cats are better than dogs and that quote is about Ben Arfa with Colback training in the reserves, someone is saying "him hate I.planet another on he's, cunt mad That"
Ste
I find Anita to be overrated on this site. Good player but there isn't that chasm in quality between him and Colback that people think.
Dokko
I find Anita to be overrated on this site. Good player but there isn't that chasm in quality between him and Colback that people think. Yup. He's better than Colback, but isn't effective and has been a passenger since he came here. Maybe with Cabaye gone and a few options around him well see him come to life. I'm hoping de Jong sparks him.

loki679
You guys don't know shit. Colback was a canny lad in primary school and that's all we need to know. Ajax academy ffs, can't compare to south heaton comp.
Guest firetotheworks
Anita is a player that recycles things, knows his pass before he receives it and has a good footballing brain. He's a small but important part in a good midfield. Without other roles being filled it doesn't work. We could have had Sissoko, Cabaye, Anita for ages but never did. I don't rate Colback at all and certainly wouldn't have him ahead of Anita. The fact he's a Cabaye replacement is nothing short of embarrassing and laughable.
