The big question for me out of all of this is: what's the point in football when it's continually influenced by business and commercialism? Nothing is sacred anymore and virtually everything is run like a business. Football isn't what it used to be.

It's almost like an interesting social experiment. How far can you push a football fan before they'll stop giving you money?

This'll be one of Ashley's brats' dissertation in a year or two.

Nufc is a franchise now.  Thats it.  Done.  When wankers like charnley and the other worm talk about stats of relegation rather then going for a cup.  Its all you need to know.

Ashley would prefer the club to have no core supporters and just a load of followers who just go to games and buy merchandise.

Anyone that attends a cup match is an idiot

34k turned up for the cardiff match, ridiculous considering.

The amount of core supporters this club must had lost the last 7-10 years must be huge.

It's not just that Neesy. This approach from Ashley and friends is in no way sustainable. As a parent, how do I sell NUFC to my kids if there's nothing remotely attractive about them?

'Well son, we'll be between 9th and 15th every year. We'll never win a cup, we'll never get into Europe oh, and you know your favourite player, that fucking great one we picked up cheap from Timbuktu, well he'll be sold just as soon as we can turn a profit on him'.

'That said, it's in our blood, they're our team so, I'm afraid you're stuck with them.............get ready for years of piss taking from the other kids whose clubs actually try to achieve something'.

'Fuck off Dad'.

If I had a son nowadays, I'd be telling him to stay away from supporting us (just don't support the mackems, liverpool, chelsea or city).

You've got to admire the f***ing balls of the club to come out after a season which ended on a particularly poisonous note and brazenly lay their cards on the table. I expected them to sugar the pill a little. Obviously they just don't care anymore.

And if they don't why should I? I renewed my season ticket more out of loyalty than hope or expectation, but next season will be my last until there's a change in ownership. We're a mediocre football club and that wouldn't bother me if it wasn't our aim as well. I don't expect us to win things but I at least want us to want to, otherwise what's the point in spending my time and money following Newcastle United?

That would be good for a banner.

"If you don't dare, why should we?"

I've got 2.

The eldest (7) came into the living room the other day when I was watching us Vs Liverpool. He witnessed their equaliser and the winner.

He said 'Dad, Newcastle really aren't very good are they?'

'No son, we're not'

I had to try my hardest to give him something to cling on to.............'It won't always be this bad mate'.

Forlorn hope. It's all we've got.

I've been thinking and worrying about this.

There's a bloke at work, Boro fan, with a son, I think he's about 9 or 10 but was born and lives up here. Over the years I've seen the kid always in Newcastle tops on Facebook and I've heard the bloke say that he'd never force Boro on his son cos he's from Newcastle and all his mates support us.

A couple of months ago, he put photos on of him and the lad at a Boro game. I asked him about it and he said his son had just asked to go to a game. Now they've been a few times and the lad is always in a Boro hat and shirt on Facebook.

We're not just losing future support to Man City, we're losing them to fucking Middlesbrough.

Similar story. Had to sit him on my knee before kick off and explain that the score might get quite high because Liverpool are much better, the little get cheered for us throughout the match.

I'll explain it to him in a bit more detail when he's a bit older but thankfully he's young enough to be around long after these cunts have gone. He'll be here long after Pardew and Ashley have croaked.

Any fan that reads that and buys a season ticket, or indeed a ticket to any game next season must be off their nut.

And that's without witnessing the dross of the past 5 months and all the shite Ashley has served up over the longer term.

Crackers.

Scary stuff, this very same thought passed my mind about an hour ago.. :yikes:

Shit, I've just read back the last few pages. Fuck me, the club seriously is dead. Anyone who buys a ticket next season is a fucking daft cunt, no two ways about it. If you are tied in just cancel, let the cunts try and take you to court. They want to treat the club like a business then business rules apply, they aren't providing the service expected, and therefore you won't stay in the contract.

Really depressing thought but I may never set foot in sjp again.
