Dr Venkman
Might be hard to fit him in if Thauvin signs. Obertan says hi.
mrmojorisin75
Imagine signing Thauvin, shipping Cabella out and then playing Thauvin as a number 10 ahead of De Jong and Perez It would literally be the most stupid transfer in history.
Ndegwa
Might be hard to fit him in if Thauvin signs. Think Thauvin's being signed as a wide player, we've got an abundance of number 10s
Guest Recoba
Reminded me of latter years Alan Shearer tonight. Won all sorts in the air, held up play, kept position allowing Ayoze/Thauvin/Aarons/Janmaat to build attacks around him. Very efficient footballer. midds
Very talented player. He's the player Cabaye will be when he's about 33.
SMTW
Some tidy involvement tonight. Needs pace in and around him though. He always seems to be an option (came short to feet at every throw) but at the same time isn't the most mobile in terms of covering vast areas of the pitch. Newcastle Fan
Very talented player. He's the player Cabaye will be when he's about 33. Except he's 3 years younger than Cabaye.
Ikon
The only time Cabaye will win a ball or two in the air is when Debuchy's sitting on his face.

Imagine Cabaye when he's 33ish.....pace going a bit, can't get around the pitch as well as he currently does but hasn't lost any of his ability or vision - that's De Jong now. So by the time De Jong is 33 he has to be pushed around the pitch in a wheel chair?

Ronaldo
What a gorgeous little header last night. Should start whenever fit. Too classy a footballer not to.
Dr.Spaceman
I'm surprised he didn't paralyze himself trying to do something like that.
cubaricho
What a gorgeous little header last night. Should start whenever fit. Too classy a footballer not to. I think Sissoko has to go to get SDJ in to the match-day starting 11, unfortunately.
mickthemagpie
The only time Cabaye will win a ball or two in the air is when Debuchy's sitting on his face. The technicalities of this scenario don't compute. Sorry just got it but surely its 2 balls!
Gallowgate Toon
Think he's going to be vital in home games where we need to break opposition down. You'd like to think his movement, along with Wijnaldum's and Perez's, will create massive problems for teams.
arnonel
We just have too many pretty good/exciting attacking options to be starting the alien
Smal
Can't see why Sissoko can't take Colback's place deeper so De Jong can play.
Guest Recoba
I liked De Jong's performance last night but I am concerned about his athleticism. I know it is not the be all end all, but he is the slowest attacking midfielder we have had since Kevin Nolan. He really cannot get around the pitch. Ikon
I think/can see De Jong playing most games where we probably are likely to have more possession, meanwhile away against the better teams he's may not be the perfect option for us. At least not until we are competing better possession wise in our away games.
