Zero
I think we have contacted him. He showed interest and held a meeting. Having found out the contract terms are fucking ridiculous - either on wages or on his rights as a "head coach" - he simply fuck off

merlin
Why would anyone on here be surprised at these kind of stories..? Does anyone seriously think Ashley is going to appoint someone who may want to put his own stamp on the club..? Ashley despises NUFC fans and those with half a brain despise him - there is never going to be a resolution to this situation until Ashley goes and that could be over a year. Expect nothing from this regime unless they think it benefits them and them only... they will obfuscate and deceive about everything as long as it means they get enough mugs to buy STs, at a knock-down price if necessary. Get used to it.
KaKa
Maybe if we get battered badly enough in the next few games, they will go back to him and sack Carver off. Can we please all pray for this?
Deuce
Among other things, it's pathetic that the club are insisting the new head coach keep the current staff. The new guy gets to pick his crew, that's just how it's supposed to work, in any sport, with few exceptions.
Belfast Boy
It shows how bad our coaches are that there hasn't even been a hint of any of them being sought after by Palace
KaKa
Carver and Stone aren't really there on any merit whatsoever. They're just there because they are from the area. No question about it. It's just pathetic.
TRon
It shows how bad our coaches are that there hasn't even been a hint of any of them being sought after by Palace What will really drive home their uselessness is when they are finally sacked they will probably have to drop to non-league football to find work. Woodman might set up a hot dog van.
Teasy
I think we have contacted him. He showed interest and held a meeting. Having found out the contract terms are fucking ridiculous - either on wages or on his rights as a "head coach" - he simply fuck off He was apparently convinced he had the job well after he met us though. God knows what is going on but if its true that he had no issue working with the current coaches for now and wanted to come straight away then its nothing short of pathetic that he isn't here right now. Get fucked Charnley and take your fat cunt of a boss off with you!
ScottishMagpie
Bear in mind this is the same kunt which lead wor Al down the garden path just after we got relegated. Cheapskate bastard. His love of money will see him burn in hell.
ilikenewcastle
Just like with Bryan Ruiz and N'Zogbia. Never any real intent to bring him here, just want to fool people into thinking we're actually getting someone half decent. From day one I've always thought that Pardew would be replaced by Carver/Beardsley or some obscure European failure.

Seems a bit extreme to actually contact him if we never wanted to appoint him, but anything is possible with Ashley I guess.
NUFC_Chris
Gutted if we did just fob him off like the time wasting cunts Charnley, Ashley & co are.
LV
Smoke and mirrors From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia For other uses, see Smoke and mirrors (disambiguation). Smoke and mirrors is a metaphor for a deceptive, fraudulent or insubstantial explanation or description. The source of the name is based on magicians' illusions, where magicians make objects appear or disappear by extending or retracting mirrors amid a distracting burst of smoke. The expression may have a connotation of virtuosity or cleverness in carrying out such a deception. In the field of computer programming, it is used to describe a program or functionality that does not yet exist, but appears as though it does. This is often done to demonstrate what a resulting project will function/look like after the code is complete — at a trade show, for example. More generally, "smoke and mirrors" may refer to any sort of presentation by which the audience is intended to be deceived, such as an attempt to fool a prospective client into thinking that one has capabilities necessary to deliver a product in question. Compare red herring.
