Out of interest, what takes precedence for people when it comes to their view on shirts?

Whether it looks 'right" and/or good as a Newcastle kit which the team wears on the pitch; or

Whether it's something you'd want to wear

I like it. The whole 'oh look we've got three stripes this year. Oh look we've got 5 stripes this year. Oh look we've got 7 stripes this year thing was wearing a bit thin after 140 odd years.

Something a bit different is fine sometimes. Then when you go back to a classic stripped-down kit it has more impact.

I like it, it's different. The modern 'classic' looks are just inferior versions of what we've already had might as well have something unique every now and again.

That's alright to be fair. Our Carabao Cup shirt was deemed as 'boring' by some when it came out because  adidas went for the 2002-2003 ntl: shirt design instead of the more popular grandad shirt. Even this season's shirt looked similar to previous years design so this one is definitely new and will divide opinion. Those who want originality will be happy with it, those who like it simple and clean can keep wearing the ones we have had previously.

But I agree the blue on the kit is horrendous. I don't mind a tad of blue, especially the tone that we have on that one but it is too much for my liking. Sela looks much better on it rather than Riyadh Air. That'll just bring back memories of Wonga on the front.

Like a loud away kit but home should always be kept pretty basic IMO. Think it’ll sell well amongst the yoot and trendy boys though which tbf are the audience not fat middle aged cunts like me.

That's much more likely to be artifacting from image compression than it being because it's A.I imo. Either way that's 100% the kit I've seen.

My main criteria is that I want to scream and scream and scream and scream and scream that I hate it because I’m a toddler having a tantrum

We’ll cross the other rivers when we come to them

What made you think this was authentic as opposed to fan, btw? The plain round collar was on the fan one this season is all.

Also the chances are it's a mock-up based on other leaks (maybe yours!) because the one she's wearing doesn't have the fat shoulder stripes in line with their new branding.

The context of the image I saw, picked out of a rack amongst many and tagged up properly.
