Stifler
Seems a nice lad but his time here is up. I wonder how much he could go for. He has played most of our games this season and was only dropped after promotion had been sealed. What makes people think his time here is up? Mick
Seems a nice lad but his time here is up. I wonder how much he could go for. He has played most of our games this season and was only dropped after promotion had been sealed. What makes people think his time here is up? We were promoted against Preston and Elliot was in goal. Bringing Elliot in hasn't made much difference to us as his only decent save was when he stood still and the shot was straight at him.
huss9
think darlow's done more than enough to have earnt a place in the team for the final game of the season, and deserves the chance to get the recognition and thanks from the fans.

I agree, and I don't like Elliot anyway.
triggs
Why would we drop a goalkeeper who's been fine for the guy who had to get dropped due to poor performances for a potentially title deciding game?
huss9
Why would we drop a goalkeeper who's been fine for the guy who had to get dropped due to poor performances for a potentially title deciding game? not bothered now about being champions. for me, tomorrow is a celebration at the end of a long hard season thats ended in success. just a chance for the fans and players to acknowledge each other's contribution. just thought it would be a nice gesture. Sho Time
Why would we drop a goalkeeper who's been fine for the guy who had to get dropped due to poor performances for a potentially title deciding game? Because being nice to the goalkeeper is apparently more important than (potentially) winning the title.

Geordie Ahmed
He's 26 I think a keeper is needed, the ones we have are not commanding enough Not sure what the situation with Begovic is BUT I'd be going for someone like him
Dinho lad
Young for a keeper. Atrocious English, btw.
sbnufc
Newcastle have rejected a £5m bid from local rivals Middlesbrough for goalkeeper Karl Darlow, Sky sources understand. Middlesbrough are preparing a second bid for the 26-year-old with Aston Villa and Reading also thought to be interested. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11678/10940817/newcastle-reject-middlesbroughs-bid-for-karl-darlow

OoOGazOoO
I'd be disappointed if we shifted him on, I think he could grow into being a decent keeper - thought he was good last season.
morla84
Nearly 27 now, thought he was younger for some reason. Only 2 years younger than Krul. Would prefer to keep him as back up, but we'd get more for him so crack on if we can get 7 or 8 million ?
Guest neesy111
If we get 7m-8m for him then it's good business. Started off well, but he was pretty poor from January onwards for me, remember he got dropped for Elliott in the end, good championship GK but see nothing more in him. We've been so lucky that we really haven't spent any good money on a GK (in relative terms) since we signed Hislop in 1995.
Altamullan
£7-8m does sound reasonable, and given his age, I'd be keen to take a punt on Adama in a swap deal. That said, I seem to be in the minority thinking Darlow would be the one of all our first team options I would prefer to keep (ideally, as back-up). He has great reaction time and agility. Couple of saves last season had me applauding (the TV!). However, the goalkeeping coaches must brief Rafa re who has what, and what potential, and if Darlow going means we get a proven Premier League (or similar) first choice, fine. jackyboy
Thought Darlow did really well last season and without him we wouldn't have got promotion. Hope we keep him
