Heron
I like to think that Ashley has finally seen the light in having arguably the best and most capable man of turning the club around at the helm. But who knows. For me...We are weakest up top if anywhere at present (as in PL quality). Which is strange given we're obviously scoring plenty
mighty__mag
Hes amazing on FM 2016 at DM and RB. So it goes without saying. Rafa is so slow.......
TRon
I think one of Rafa's main priorities next season (should we go up) will be a new CB, like. It's similar to the striker situation. Gayle, Mitro and Perez are all scoring goals in the championship, but there'll still be questions whether they can do it in the premier. The same goes for our cb's, all of them are doing well at the moment, but the real test will come next season.
Ronaldo
The striker situation is more clear cut. We know that Perez isn't a PL striker - he isn't a striker full stop, tbh - and that neither Gayle or Mitrovic are likely to get much more than 10 goals. We definitely need to invest very decent money in that area should we go up.
ponsaelius
Rafa won La Liga with Ruben Baraja top scorer on 7 goals. Don't need a striker!
Holloway
Gayle has the movement and composure to score freely in the premier league, given the service

Guest
They won it with just 75 points and still won it by a mile.
Sho Time
Baraja, Aimar, Rufete & Vicente were unbelievable at the time. Loved Marchena & Ayala at the back as well.
Guest
The following season they finished 5th with Aimar & Carew joint top scorers with 8. It got better in their 2nd title winning team with Mista getting 18.
TRon
Worth trying him out as a central midfielder? We don't seem to have to many options at the moment when Hayden's out, and he did well in the AFCON by all accounts.
Tiotes Witch Doctor
Want him to play alongside Clark, only one game but from what I saw on my terrible stream Hanley didn't look much.
Mole_Toonfan
I know he was shite against Wolves which got him dropped to begin with but Lascelles has had multiple poor performances at this point and Hanley definitely isn't the answer long term. I wouldn't mind giving Mbemba and Clark a go, lets see if Rafa agrees.
sbnufc
He can't follow instructions, apparently http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/chancel-mbemba-inside-story-how-12576509

Guest
Could have a role yet on a rotation with Lascelles, Clark and Hayden.

The College Dropout
Only learnt about the 75 points thing recently. Reinforces my perspective that Rafa isn't a great league manager. Much mor suited to one-off games and therefore cup competitions. By the sounds of it he's only got more than 82 league points twice in his top level manager career. Ronaldo
Had that great season with Liverpool when they nearly won the title in '09. 86 points is pretty impressive.

Valencia La Liga: 2001–02, 2003–04 In a time when Real Madrid had Zidane,Figo and Ronaldo. 1 of which was won with 75 points. With a top scorer of 7 goals. That's an anomalous year imo. Real finished 3rd with 66 points. Barca 4th. La Coruna finished 2nd. Just looked, the second league win was with 78 points. So correct me if i'm wrong but Benitez has only finished a league season with more than 80 points once in his career. Deportivo won a league title with 69 points a few years earlier.... jheeze. Anyway, it's not to diminish Rafa's achievement. You win the league, you win the league - great. But it just shows, in his best seasons his teams have lost and drawn a number of games which puts this season in some perspective. 1 of his title wins contained 12 defeats. The other 7 defeats and 8 draws.
