I don't think he's been great since he's come back from the ban other than in patches

Yeah, he's had no stellar performances that stand out.

He'll be much better in the next game or two once Colback is out of the team.  Hayden had his operation in the middle of February and was due to be out for 4 weeks, 4 weeks is the day before our next match.

Not sure what was going on with him today, but he looked like he couldn't give a flying f***.

Wayward passes, stupid fouls. Just an all round petulant display.

Happy enough to come over to the Strawberry Corner when we've won or had a good comeback...sloped straight off the pitch today along with the rest of the useless bastads. Apart from Lascelles who came just over the halfway line and applauded.

If Shelvey is to stay in the team we need 2 much better midfielders to play alongside and in front of him.

For all Shelvey's abilities, he has defensive flaws that have to be mitigated.

Cairney completely got under his skin today, was always on him and never gave him space which was frustrating Shelvey even after 15/20 minutes. Seemed to just give up after that apart from a 5 minute spell when we pulled the goal back. Stupid challenge for the yellow too.

I can forgive him bad games, particularly when he's carrying the human ball and chain that is Colback. But his unprofessionalism is a disgrace.

Yet again getting involved in nonsense today when things went against him/us. The brainless bodycheck just outside our box at only 1-0, for example.

Such a scrote.

He's shattered as well which are exposing his flaws even more.

After seeing us on Tuesday I was fearing today when seeing the line up. A few key players have played without rest for a good while now, it must be taking it's toll. Shelvey, Ritchie, Clark, Dummett and Lascelles would all have needed a rest ideally on tuesday to prepare properly for today. It might be good we have a week until Birmingham.

Undoubtedly one of the best players in the division but generally a bit of a tit. 5 yards off the pace today and needless to say it's obvious when Cack Jolback is his partner in crime

If we get promoted do you think Rafa will stick with Shelvey in a centre midfield or bring in a new pair?

I'd be looking to replace him. I can't get past his performances in the Prem last time out and he's not exactly set this league on fire. He's been decent and what you would expect from a £12m midfielder at this level.

Would hope we replace him if we get promoted. He's too much of a liability and goes missing for long periods of games.

He's one of the last players we need to replace, he goes missing because he's over worked at times.

True, there is Colback that needs to go first. We still need 3 CM's after that. Don't think he's over worked though, he's just lazy.

Overworked maybe, but his stamina isn't at a good enough level imo.
