Jonjo Shelvey (now playing for Çaykur Rizespor, on loan from Nottingham Forest)

Yeah Vardy on the end of his passing would be something to see. Bellamy is a good shout too, puts into perspective how from that ideal we are right now, with Joselu and Gayle supplemented with Perez.

Jonjo is one of the main reasons why we shouldn't get a target man in and instead look for a more mobile striker with pace. Would be a complete waste of a genuine advantage over many other teams given how prevalent sideways or safe passers are.

This loose cannon hasn't been booked in the league since the 13th December.

He was booked last night.

Nahhhhhhh

Thought he was excellent again last night, as he was in the 2nd half vs Watford. Love how he always tries to play the ball forward and plays with his head up. Might be my favourite player of ours when he's on form.

Would love a peak Bellamy or Vardy type striker in our squad for him to play with

He'd be insane with Vardy imo.

Start them both for England TBH, couldn't do any worse than we'll do with the Spurs lads. Kane's not in good form anyway, neither is Alli.

He's too good for Newcastle, like Sissoko.

Anyway, thumbs up to Shelvey for raising his game and also for calming down such a lot. Another season like this, with better strikers, and he could be considered right up in the top group of PL midfielders.

He could play for anyone in the league at the moment. He's playing much better than Fabregas, for example.

Think you're right. If he plays a full season without doing something mental and playing with the same physical intensity for 90 minutes he'll be going for massive money.

Ashley would love a mega offer from Spurs, then give Rafa a fraction of that cash and a honking loan player thats been nowhere near a first team squad in years to cover the hole Shelvey leaves.

Pleased for him that he turned in a good performance, although he's probably lost the England slot due to having a couple of dodgy games in front of Southgate.
