Big change in attitude on here since he left.

He was and always will be an underachiever. His natural passing ability is immense but his attitude always seemed to be lacking.

I always thought that was part of the of problem, people over hype him based on spraying a ball 40 yards but in reality his defensive ability, fitness and goalscoring were all sub par and i always thought he struggled to influence enough games.

Is he back in NE? My mum has seen him twice at Fratelli in the past week.

Someone was saying earlier that he’s moved back and is back training with us.

No idea what’s gone on but he’s not our player any more that’s for sure.

He was on the pitch after the final whistle yesterday and got a hug from Cooper.

Dont get the hate he gets on here. Yeah he has a troubled personality, but he didnt do much wrong when playing for us. For me i will always be thankful for the hard work he put in to keep us up last year.

Just a player for whom Howe arrived to late to save. Clearly talented and could be a difference maker as we saw under Rafa.

But he was just too willing to coast along when the coaching was bad and rarely took the initiative to improve his own situation.

He was happy to sign a new contract playing for Steve Bruce, I think that says everything. Not that I blame him, I'd do the same, but that doesn't mean I should be playing for Newcastle.
