Jonjo Shelvey (now playing for Burnley)

Recommended Posts

Lazy fucking passenger and a total wanker. How come he’s never the one to have a massive spell on the sidelines?

The commentator said he's always got a long-ranger in his locker. Why wouldn't you play him? It's not his fault he's lost the bastard key.

I despise him me. Shit, lazy, myth of a footballer. BT commentators kept saying how well he strikes a ball and "if anyone can score from distance it's Jonjo Shelvey" after he'd planted one about 30 yards over the bar.

Total joke of a player. Coward.

Second half barely laid a glove, or could keep hold of the ball. Just let the game slide, and time tick by.

Pundits/morons say he’s good on the ball, but that’s the circumstances when you need him to be getting on the ball.

Totally anonymous, like slenderman

In the first half when a Man U player passed it short, then he backed out of making a challenge because he knew he would get done for pace, it just about sums him up. He had a yard start on wan Bisaka but he still backed out.

It’s been a while since he’s been spraying good passes too. I don’t know whether I’m being too harsh here. I know he scored the other week but I can’t remember him really stretching the pitch like he was able to or imposing himself on a game. His set pieces must be the worst in the league. I used to really like him as well.

He’s lucky there isn’t an alternative. I know there’s calls for the Longstaffs but Sean has been really poor and wasted his chance. Matty doesn’t look ready for his cameos. Then there’s Hendrick. He doesn’t have any competition.

Never really had much problem with his Hollywood passing ability, he's good on the ball even now IMO. Would be one of the best in the league if you weren't allowed to run. Unfortunately for him you are, and that means the other team midfielders are always running past him. He's got no pace, no engine and no stamina. Absolute disgrace for a central midfielder. Think he would have been some player in 1974 mind.

It requires team mates to make good runs too. If they don't have any specific instructions on where and when to make runs and just whim it every game the passes will be more difficult to make as well I would imagine.
