TBG
It's not that he's not a good player or the the fact he plays for Newcastle. It's the fact he's a relegated player that has got in ahead of a forward that has worked his socks off to score his team to premier league safety. Completey ignoring he plays in a different position. Stifler
Ok, so where is the outcry about Wilshire who has watched the season on TV from his medical bed, or Heaton who hasn't played in the Premier League?

Ronaldo
He has to go, like. You need at least one proper winger there.

Disgrace that Wilshire is in the squad like. Done absolutely jack shit to deserve a place.

Mick
Nervous now. For what? His stock has risen and thus will be more interest in him. He's getting games here and being recognised by his country, he has no reason to move.
The College Dropout
Nervous now. For what? His stock has risen and thus will be more interest in him. He's off mate. Clearly too good for Championship football. If he does stay it will be because of Rafa and the fans. We would do well to loan him to bring him back at best. He came here knowing that he might not have the chance to play in the premiership and he certainly didn't come for the CL.
TRon
Pleased for him but I'm not sure he's really done enough. Then again, the England squad is full of people you could say that about. He's done a lot more than Oxlaide Chamberlaine or Theo Walcott this season, they are the players who is stepping in for aren't they?

Altamullan
Townsend was a phenomenon against Spurs. Must have felt good for him. What impressed me most though was his reaction to being subbed (Rafa changed his mind and brought Sissoko off). As Andros was walking towards the bench and the crowd were giving him the loudest ovation I've heard in a while, I know I am just interpreting his body language, but he looked not only moved but as if he felt not worthy: like he was really ashamed at relegation/letting these people down. Felt for the lad, clearly not his fault. I can see him making an impact in France, and doubt he'll be willing to turn down inevitable offers for a life in the North East that he's barely established. Stay or go, good luck to you; you've done your job.
