Paully
I know quite a few who have simply sacked it off tonight so I've a feeling that there'll be a lot more pink seats on show than there has been this season!

Guest
https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/sep/12/sunderland-ladies-lose-access-first-team-facilities-academy-of-light Quality. They're going to train where most of the Newcastle Untied Women's and Foundation train. This is the only part of Sunderland AFC I feel sorry for, as they've had nothing but the (Ellis) short end of the stick for a long, long time. First the FA simply ignored their application to the WSL as they were too far north, there's no lies behind this. It's straight up the case. They had the funding, the success, the players, the set up, but were too far North. All the other teams in the first season of the WSL were Southern based with Merseyside the furthest North. Once that happened all the players thay had (sort of) trained over the years went elsewhere (basically Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City). However, it can't be ignored that Sunderland's Women team benefited greatly from NUFC's own stupid management of the women's team. The amount of talented players the Foundation had to signpost to Sunderland was insane, as that's where the development centre was based. We didn't have any of that (and still don't). Still, utter gash from SAFC to dump the women's team on their arse like this. They lost a lot of goodwill from the few sunderland fans I know due to the treatment of the women.
