Are you 100% sure, Roy loves Rooney after all.

 

It'll be Kane and whoever compliments him best. Hodgson's obviously not Ancelotti but he's no mug either.

 

Rooney's still a very good player in a no-win situation, like. A player who likes to float around, influencing the game in his own way and take risks is never going to work when playing under a manager whose whole mantra is all about maintaining shape and keeping the ball at all costs.

 

If Roy wants Rooney in the team, like you i hope it's Kane up top, if so Rooney will be off him. But if he doesn't want Rooney off the front man but in the team, i fear it would mean Rooney up top.

 

Hope i'm wrong obviously, its just Roy's management worries me no end.
