Newcastle United transfer rumours in the press

Recommended Posts

23 goals and 9 assists for Derby in 1 and a half seasons suggests Ince isn't 's****' though (your words).  He scored 31 goals for Blackpool at this level too. So 53 goals for a 24 year old winger is s****?

We all know Wijnaldum isn't s**** his heart just isn't in it

what's his deal though? he's been bouncing around clubs for past 3-5 years, no?

He's shite

He was pretty much a one man team for Blackpool and that lead to him joining newly promoted Hull. Bruce didn't fancy him so he's been at Derby for the last 18 months and scored loads of goals (sounds familiar)

Plays best in Ritchie's position and would probably quite a bit of money as Derby aren't hard up and Pearson will probably demand he stays. Be very surprised if he signed

Watch his actual performances rather than Googling his stats and presuming he's good because of it, it'll tell you a lot more about him.

You're wrong about Bruce too. Don't like the bloke obviously but he was fuming that Ince was sold.

23 goals in 1 and a half season for a winger is flattering to deceive?

Wijnaldum scored 11 from midfield last year and people say the same about him.

Wijnaldum is a very good player though, despite what many here would have you believe.

Good player, but turns up as regularly as De Jong.

When exaggerations go too far.

Can't see any mention of Ince  being linked anywhere.

It was in the Chronicle this morning

"A whole host of names have been mentioned, some seriously and others merely in passing, including Chelsea forward Patrick Bamford and even Aston Villa winger Scott Sinclair.

Anderlecht’s 22-year-old Ghanaian winger Frank Acheampong has been on Newcastle’s radar for a long while, as was 24-year-old Czech international Ladislav Krejci before his move to Bologna.

Derby County’s Tom Ince is also a player United have long admired."

Norwich want to hijack Newcastle's attempts to sign Blackburn defender Grant Hanley, according to the Daily Mail.

The paper reports that Newcastle have offered £5.5million to sign the defender, which has been equalled by Norwich.

Blackburn, however, want £8m for their captain.

Paying that much means you'd be pushing one of Mbemba or Lascelles to the bench I'd feel like.

Honestly think sky's the limit for Lascelles under Rafa. Turn him into a beast like Kompany in his prime.

Havent seen much of Hanley but have a lot of Scottish mates and all seem to summarise him as big, slow and not worth the money we are supposed to be bidding for him.  Surely there must be better value elsewhere .....??
