Newcastle United transfer rumours in the press

Recommended Posts

Diame's alright but he's really not great. Runs down blind alleys quite a lot and often makes poor decisions in the final third, a lot of my Hull supporting mates got really frustrated by him quite regularly. He didn't really play as a CM last season either, was an attacking midfielder or second striker pretty much all season. Still wouldn't be too disappointed if we did get him though as I think Rafa could turn him into a solid CM.

Diame would be a decent enough buy for this division and would add that extra pace and athleticism that none of our other CM's really have, although i'm not convinced that he's a PL player if we were to go up. Injuries seem to have caused him to regress and really kick on.

Be interesting to see if we've actually bid the release clause.

Happy with the Diame link. Some athleticism in midfield would be amazing. The one midfielder we had with athleticism in Sissoko, ended up playing out wide. Him joining likely relegates Colback to a bench role too. Think it also means Shelvey is unlikely to start games.

Must be some player if he's going to keep two players out  :D

If we sell Tiote, Sissoko and Thauvin I hope we bring in three new players at least. Those three are all above Championship standard so I'd really hope we wouldn't only try and buy Diame.

Knockaert, Diame + at least a new left-back would be ideal. I unlike many think our striking force will be enough for the season. Mitro, Gayle and Perez + Armstrong as backup I believe is enough for now.

Hull will be playing 5-a-side at this rate, don't they only have 13 fit first teamers or something?

The fans on Twitter said they have 12 fit first team players, and 6 of them have handed in transfer requests.

Ridiculous that tbh, I feel for Hull fans. Diame is a decent player, plenty of experience of the championship at 29 and scored 10 goals last year but hes a CAM and I'm not he can play in a 2 in midfield

Even though we brought Hayden in, we need to bring a specialist defensive midfielder to replace Tiote. Lucas would be a brilliant signing but a bit of a pipe dream

Would be happy with Diame! Legs in midfield is something we have been missing badly especially with colback and Anita centre midfield last year

Not like you to have absolutely no idea what is going on, but one of the last criticisms you could make about Anita is that he doesn't "have legs."

There only little like. He has them. But they are small.

Hull are already relegated tbh, absolutely pointless season coming up for them.

I think he's talking about the length of their legs.

I still think there's not enough goals in Mitro for us to rely on him.

As far as left backs go, we've needed one for fucking years. There's absolutely no excuse for not addressing that weakness.

Sunderland and Newcastle both want this Man United ace

SUNDERLAND boss David Moyes is reportedly eyeing Manchester Untied ace Paddy McNair.

The Sun claim the new Black Cats chief is keen to snap up the defender.

But Moyes might face a battle to secure his services.

The 21-year-old is also wanted by their arch-rivals, Newcastle.

The centre-back has been told he can leave Old Trafford on loan for the season.

After making nine first-team appearances last season, it’s suggested McNair favours a Premier League switch.

Only in the Sun and Daily Star so will be bollocks but a press link nonetheless
