Nobody
I can't think of any successful cases for experienced La Liga striker in EPL. The "best" is probably Llorente. I simply don't think Gameiro can adapt at this age, midway through season. Gambling 20m on him now is really a bad one to make. Torres?? "Experienced". How old were Torres and Aguero when they come to EPL? And Gameiro? They were both 23 and had made a combined 400 appearances for Atletico, so aye, I'd say they were experienced players. You know what he means man. You'd assume it's easier for a 23yr old to adapt his game in what is supposed to be a more physically demanding league than a 30yr old. TRon
Gameiro didn't particularly want to come here last time round IIRC. His commitment would be a worry if he really is the one we're in for.

He'd have probably come had PSG not come calling like.

UncleBingo
Was told that Rafa really wants Sturridge, but isn't confident of getting him in due to the sort of money involved, and other clubs being in for him. Same script with Slimani. Fuck knows who will end up with, hopefully he can pull a rabbit out of the hat somehow.
mrmojorisin75
Would feel somewhat underwhelmed if it's Gameiro really. Was hoping Rafa had a rabbit under his hat. Does Gameiro still have the pace? Not seen him play for years.

Minhosa
I think it’ll be Giroud. PeA going to Arsenal could well free him up.

I am fucking gutted that we missed out Angel Correa last summer. He is young enough to adapt and is entering his prime years. And yea, it isn't surprising that it's Correa that taken away Gameiros playing time this season...

themanupstairs
I think it’ll be Giroud. PeA going to Arsenal could well free him up. Would be an excellent choice IMO. Creates a lot for the team on top of what he offers as a goalscorer. Doubt he'll come here though tbh.
Guest firetotheworks
No chance of Giroud. I'm thinking it'll be more someone like Sandro that we'll fail to sign.

Allardyce will dangle the carrot and when it's too late for us to switch targets he'll tell us we have no chance.
