Newcastle United transfer rumours in the press

Keith Downie says we are done. Arguably the worst window ever considering what we thought was coming.

Anyone who thought things would be different in the slightest is demented imo.

We all thought nothing would happen but you gotta have hope. :tino:

Well I held out some hope of benefitting from a flurry of late movement. Not demented, just very disappointed.

Yup  trying the same thing over and over again, but expecting to get different results is one definition of insanity. Ashley has owned the club for long enough now too see things will never change.

I probably wouldn't go as far as demented like, but naive.

I thought we'd get a couple in on the basis of Rafa sounding fairly confident last week. And the fact we've shifted a fair few.

Maybe he was being naive as well. We'll find out in the next few days.

Glad I didn't buy my top and waited to see what was coming in. Another season the club won't get a penny from me, not even via the kids.

Man ... I didn't either. I'd be burning that thing in the street right about now if so.

Well, if business has truly concluded, the standard has been set for this season. The goal being nothing more than basic survival to keep the funds coming in. I believe there is enough between the players and the manager currently at the club to achieve that. Of course, the task has been made more difficult than it needed to be.

One would think that a season back in the top flight would guarantee legitimate spending, with the ludicrous sums of money clubs in this league are given. If I was sure this was the case, the realities of this window would be to some degree, acceptable. As always, the issue is that nothing is certain at this NUFC, and the previous history here does not lend itself towards optimism.

It's all completely pointless.

Even if we end up doing better than expected witht he likes of Merino and Hayden shining they'll all be off.

it's all worth absolutely nothing. Man fuck this shit.

Yup. The issue is momentum & goodwill. Two things Ashley has never given a flying fuck about, and constantly shot down.
