Gouffran will do OK against sides like Brighton who have a go, but in most games we need someone who can beat his man. Or full backs who can overlap if the winger can go inside. The modern game isn't as simple as it used to be, there's lot's of ways to skin a cat. It's one of the reasons why Sissoko's value has continued to go up despite the horror of so many fans and pundits, he's versatile and provides a bit of everything. Atsu's got talent, but so had Cabella, Thauvin, Aarons and Obertan ( yes really). Talent's not enough if you can't fit it into the team ethos and structure. Yeah, even if he turns out to be all fart and no shit as it were, his pace alone will give us the option of an outlet on the counter. In any case, you would assume there's some genuine talent there if Chelsea bought him. Could be similar to Hayden, just needs an opportunity to shine which he won't get at a CL club.
