OpenC
Pottsy scored for Town as well, I see. Still a ways to go and still tight for now but Spartans starting to feel pretty much done. Not sure how many teams at the top end of Northern League Division 1 have the ground to play in the NPL - certainly Shildon were struggling when I was there last year, with a derelict and condemned stand and restricted access to pitchside

Be amazed if there’s a worse ground (on an official level) at the level they’re at than Stan have even though they’ve had FA money to upgrade the clubhouse and so on. ponsaelius
Workington only have three more games over the winter at their Borough Park ground before it is demolished (they're ground sharing with the rugby team while it's redeveloped, then they'll both move in). Highly recommend a visit before it goes - a proper relic of a non league ground.
Optimistic Nut
Fair chance that South Shields will be highest placed of the North-East clubs next year and that Gateshead v Hebburn could be a League match just one level below.

leffe186
Wasn’t expecting to see Camelon pop up on the BBC. They were my local Juniors side when I lived in Falkirk - sadly just let in a late equalizer in the Cup.

OpenC
Hideous conditions across the north east today. I was at Maiden Castle to watch Alnwick putting away Durham United, one of the few games that finished. Terrible place to watch football but there were lasses going at each other with swords upstairs before the game, which made a change
La Parka
It was a washout in loads of games. Harrogate town not technically non League but in the brink managed a point. Still in the relegation places. Can't see Weaver sacking his son. Bet they'd both walk away instead.
Big Geordie
Ashington had a 3-0 win at home. Seem to have hit a bit of form.
Disco
Heaton one point off the playoffs in the NPL East after a 4-0 win tonight.

Optimistic Nut
Injury-time winner for Hebburn home to Morpeth. 8 wins in a row now and only 3 points off the top.
OpenC
Alnwick biffed 4-2 at Sunderland West End, another dismal 3G pitch at a hub with no fans except some bairns with a drum. The list of places I won't be bothering to go to next season is getting quite extensive now. Long as that's the only defeat on wearside this weekend

Big Geordie
1-1 draw at home for Blyth Spartans, yesterday v Hallam. They and town are beginning to cut get a drift. Ashington beat Ossett United 3-2 and have moved out of the relegation zone.

Could be a log jam for the Northern League. Wish I had nothing more to think about than which non league game to watch this afternoon
Paullow
Huge win for Consett tonight, 4-1 against Silsden (promoted from tier 9 last season) and a team that hopefully a few of the North East sides can pass. Consett's first win since October 14th after a positive start to the season. Table looking slightly better now from a local point of view. 4 NE teams still occupying the 4 relegation spots, but some of them are starting to win a few matches now. Paullow
At the other end, Dunston got a 93rd min equaliser at Heaton to draw 1-1. Both sides remain in and around the playoffs. Those were the only 2 matches in that league tonight. Didn't realise Heaton's captain Slaughter had left to join Newcastle Blue Star. Noticed he wasn't in the starting line up the past couple of games, assumed he was injured, but then saw he left. Seems strange going from a team surprisingly in the mix for the playoffs to potentially reach tier 7, to go to a side doing next to nothing in tier 9, but he will probably be on a slightly better wage, plus less travelling as well with him now being 35. Jeez, that bottom four at the end of the season would be interesting in terms of sideways league moves etc. If Kendal don't get promoted from the NL they might be grateful of a shift back closer to home though! Big Geordie
The end for Bedlington Terriers, but it would seem to have been on the cards for some time. A sad day for the town. CLUB STATEMENT It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that Bedlington Terriers Football Club must announce that the club will be folding with immediate effect. This is an incredibly difficult moment for everyone connected with the Terriers. A club with such a long and proud history, built by generations of players, volunteers, supporters, and officials, has been an important part of the local community for many years. The memories created on and off the pitch will never be forgotten. The decision to bring the club to an end has not been taken lightly. Despite the tireless efforts of those involved to keep the club going, circumstances have made it impossible to continue. It is heartbreaking to see a club with so much tradition and passion come to an end in this way. We would like to thank all players, managers, coaches, committee members, sponsors, and supporters who have represented and supported Bedlington Terriers Football Club over the years. Your commitment, loyalty, and love for the club are what made it special. While the club may no longer continue, its legacy will live on in the memories of everyone who had the privilege of being part of Bedlington Terriers Football Club. Wallsendmag
Sad news. Iconic Northern League Club. Still remember when they won the Vase in 1999 and beat Colchester in the FA Cup around the same time. They had some team back in those days.
Big Geordie
Didn't win the Vase, Whitley - but made the final (I was there at Wembley) The days of John Milner at centre-forward. Blyth Spartans v Consett just about to start tonight. Must win for the home team.
Stifler
It’s a massive shame, but Bedlington I think is just too close to both Blyth which has 2 teams, Ashington, and Morpeth to make it work.
