Both LFEE and I heard someone audibly shout "grow up man" round about the time I did a one off shout of "sing in the library". Fair reaction you could argue but actually perseverance, support and loyalty won today. 4-3 daft cunt. [emoji38]

Always up to the home team to get support going imo.

Got right out of jail. f***ing awful after we went ahead. Diame, Colback and Dummet were shocking. Don't think Shelvey will be proud of his effort for Jeromes effort (or the shot just wide moments earlier)

A lot of cracks papered over in them last few minutes.

Could also say that Norwich were lucky not to be 3/4-0 down at half time and that them getting back into it and going 3-1 covers up a lot of cracks for them as well.

Make no mistake, the mistakes made tonight will not have gone unnoticed.

If you look at the stats, the highlights and the manner of the goals conceded, no way you can say we were lucky or got out of jail. If they had won that it would have been daylight robbery, if they had gotten a draw they would have been lucky in the end they got what they deserved. We can't be making these games this much work though, need a thoroughly professional performance against Rotherham now to follow this up.

Fair play on Sky not editing the cameramans sneezes out. Dat Championship.

Guy's a big fan of Atsu, wanted to see him subbed on. :dog:

:dowiespin: (soz)

Atsu came on and the magic happened

Was it just luck or did Raffa make the greatest substitution ever ;)

I very much agree.

Shelvey was equally as pathetic as colback defending their 2nd after seeing the highlights again.

IMO Shelvey is not in this team for his defending ability, and he created enough tonight to make up for any lapses here. The bloke is vital for our attacking game, take him out and what do we have ? Someone's got to get the ball to Ritchie, if that's your answer.

Sorry but if your going to be playing in central midfield then you have to be good at that job.  Otherwise you then need a complete defensive midfielder.

You could reasonably look at it this way, although I don't think Dummett was shocking.

On the other hand, we could have again been easily out of sight in the first half, again.

Are you on meth?

A lot of those Gayle shots will go in more often than not. I'd be far far more concerned if we weren't even creating those chances like we have in the recent past.

All three of their goals were "fluky" in the sense of 1) penalty, 2) unstoppable strike, and 3) actually fluky.

Not worried at all.

OK I've watched the highlights about 50 times now :)

Ritchie does brilliantly for the the first goal.

Dummet's skill and cross for the Ritchie header against the bar was something else.

The more and more I look at the penalty, the less it looks like one to me. Gouf makes a mistake initially in misjudgung the flight, but the Norwich player only had one thing in his mind to do, there is no desire to play a ball in or hit a shot, he feels back for Gouf, then falls forward as Gouf tries to hook the ball out.

Jerome's finish is pretty damn good for their 2nd, it's a ridiculous angle to score from wouldn't be surprised if it was intended as a cross.

There is no way they are scoring that 3rd goal without that huge deflection, in the commentary Lowes made it sound like it was a slight nick.

The ball Shelvey played to Gayle for the 2nd was sensational, the control and finish from him too was pretty bloody great.

Yedlin puts in a really nice cross for the third.

Not sure what that Norwich defender is doing for the winner, he kind of gives it back to Gayle.

One thing typfies the chances Gayle has is he takes the shots really fast, sometimes with little back lift, that's a good trait to have for a striker, he'll get goals if we feed him.

Same was said about Cisee and why we went out of our way to purchase him. I'm very sure it was Carr that scouted and recommended Gayle.

Incredible end to the game, the stadium was absolutely rocking and the fans were behind the team for the most part from 3-1 down to get something from the game.

Colback and Diame booed off and I couldn't help but think it was deserved, though probably not the greatest thing in the world to be doing for confidence.

The ironic thing is Norwich's pathetic attempts at time wasting and winding our players up ultimately added on the minutes in which they lost the game, don't you just love it when that happens?

Still feel there's still something not quite there in regards to the team though, we won't score two last minute winners every time to bail us out, and cant help but feel we need to correct the issues we have, and dare I say Rafa needs to rethink some of our negative play and formations, from the minute when went 1-0 up we sat back and stopped attacking completely until we went 2-1 down.

Didn't change anything until we were 3-1 down either, yes we got away with it but its the exact sort of thing McClaren and Pardew used to do, that sort of mentality will see us lose more games I think.

A great result on the back of an abysmal performance.
