I felt that he was asked to protect Miley a lot today which meant he was a lot deeper than normal, that said, still thought he was poor.

He was poor but was sold some bad balls by Miley (MotM for us btw) in the first half, penned in by the touch line back to goal with a man on his back and winged a pass in.

Some extended verbal sparring with a lad in the East Stand in the first half. Bemoaned a lack of effort after he has rather casually been caught off side. Bit unbecoming but perhaps indicative of where his head was.

I actually seen him do that from strawberry corner.

Thought he was taking to the ball boy or something.

Criminal today, embarrassingly bad.

Surely Gordon can be talked/bribed/forced into switching to the right.

He’s not much better tbf

He was atrocious today. I know he had a good season last season and can still put a decent cross in but I still find it baffling that four years into the takeover he’s still starting for us on the RW.

Feel like he was asked to play deeper today. If hes not getting past his man on counter attacks or being able to whip balls in, it shows his general play up even more.

I know hes been abysmal for the most part but surely we could give Elanga a run of games? None of his replacements, whether Murphy, Barnes or Gordon are fit for purpose right now.

He wouldn’t be if the 55 million pound gamble paid off. Really hope the club are planning appropriately for the summer and bringing in a quality RW (they won’t be)

He’s injured?

He was really bad today, that first time pass infield without any care or attention which results in the opposition counter attack was a regular one for him today, was infuriating

Though his general play is often bad, it gets overlooked/hidden because his delivery is usually quality but never really got a chance to show that side of his game today

His crossing is so good

Literally blows my mind when people say Gorodn is a technically sound footballer and Murphy isn't.

No, no, never leave. Move him to full back when he can't do it on the wing anymore ala Ashley Young, Antonio Valencia, Jesus Navas. His experience will be invaluable in years to come.

Hurts to see Juice losing a step or so of his pace and strength this season. Howe had mentioned he’d been dealing with Achilles / ankle.

Surprised to find this thread on page 2. Thought he was great before going off injured - his right foot is an absolute weapon.

he's the 99th percentile for crosses per 90. Most 'big chances' created in the team etc.

I thought he was great, sad he went off injured.

Would have bags of assists if we could finish.

From the Chronicle

"We don’t think Jacob’s injury is serious, but of course we’re waiting to see the full extent of it. He’s had a hamstring problem for a couple of weeks, but he’s had two scans that have come back clear so we’re not too sure what’s going on with him."
