Total cost of Alexis Sanchez 180M according to the Telegraph. Just so they can put Martial or Rashford on the bench.

The 29 year-old will be paid £14m a year after tax - just under £27m a year before tax - to join United, on top of his £30m valuation, £20m signing-on fee, and an agents’ fee worth more than £10m.

That all adds up to around £180m for a player who had entered the final six months of his Arsenal contract and goes some way to explaining why Manchester City walked away from negotiations.

Fat Sam wants Vardy.

He really should have made that Arsenal move when he had the chance.

That was also the right decision tbh

:anguish: Why would he go there?

£?

He's had chances to do that already though, hasn't he?  And is on canny money already.

Reckon he'll stick with Leicester unless he has another chance to move upwards and feels he won't get another chance.

I think when he was previously being touted was before/shortly after Leicester winning the league. It'd be understandable if his mindset had changed since. Not saying it's a given, but if Everton come in offering to double his wages, I'm sure that would pique his interest at the very least. By all accounts they have plenty o'dosh and are looking to push on, even if they've fucked it up so far.
