Astroblack
And in more Chelsea news, looks like they’re signing Villarreal forward Nicolas Jackson. Fee looks to be £35 million.

Ben
Will they not just sign a few premier league players from other clubs to keep the optics ok then buy Dumett for £200 million

Throwing money at Chelsea is good for PIF and the Saudi league but not good for us. That league is more important than us so they don’t care.
McCormick
I wasn’t talking about priorities. Regardless of what they’re doing with Chelsea, they’d still want to maximize the value of NUFC so as to get their investment to appreciate.
duo
It would balance out if they could throw money on one of our fringe players but it cannot happen.

Could easily go and play for a real side in a real league!! Tbf I think he did say he couldn’t play for another European club (but that might just be faux emotional bullshit to cover the greed). “Inter Miami” for goodness sake. Guest
Callum Roberts from Aberdeen to Scunthorpe. Weird career. Blyth was far too small for him, Notts County was probably perfect for him. Fair play taking the chance of going to Aberdeen but Scunthorpe again seems like he's went one or even two leagues under his ability.

Solitude20
I don’t get why we think it is about helping Chelsea. The saudi clubs are getting players from everywhere whether it’s from EPL teams or elsewhere. Should they ignore players from Chelsea just to avoid this narrative? Deuce
It’s a “buying Chris Wood will help Burnley!” redux. Chelsea would’ve found a way to offload the players they needed to and bought the players they wanted with or without the Saudis. If anything, moving quality players to Saudi Arabia who might’ve otherwise been sold to another PL club is a benefit to us. They aren’t terrible players who no one would want, the likes of Kante, Koulibily etc where always going to be wanted. yeah but who was going to match the wages they are on at chelsea. Jaqen
Yeah Chelsea made some terrible signings on crazy wages that they'd have struggled to give away. The fact that they are getting all the wages shifted and big fees for some of them is a bit annoying.

It does feel that way doesn’t it? I think it’s partly due to our journalists hanging on about FFP none stop.

They made bank in the 17/18 window with Sanchez, Giroud and AOC amongst others but they spent a similar amount in the same window.
