Feeling jealous of a few 'lower team' signings, mind.

Who you jealous of. Brentford for signing Maupay?. Fulham for signing Iwobi? So what is Brighton have loaned Fati. They’re breaking their wage structure which could cause squad disharmony. We’ve done our business because we’re thorough and professional. All of these other clubs are amateur panic buyers.

Wouldn’t consider Brighton panic buyers.

Maybe not “panic” buyers but it seems more like a signing borne out of opportunity rather than thoughtful planning which is what we go for. We had our targets this summer and we’ve got every one of them. I honestly don’t think Brighton set out ahead of this summer with the intention of signing Ansu Fati. They’ve now got to try and mould him into a side which wasn’t set up to accommodate him. Who knows if RDZ wanted him.

They wanted another creative player. Failed with Kudus.  Got someone else on loan.

We don’t seem to want to plug gaps in the squad with loans.

Ehh maybe, he’s pretty hit or miss in front of goal. 10 goals in serie A, 25, not sure he’s spurs level. He’s decent and a really good signing for the Ev, but yeah not sold on him being at that level

0.55 non-penalty xG+xA per 90 seems decent considering Hojlund's 0.59 and Vlahovic' 0.57 and they cost/would cost a lot more and Beto still relatively young.

We won't do loans anymore for players that we aren't looking to buy, so an obligation or option to buy would have to be included. Those days are long gone where we loan players for their parent clubs to benefit.

I think Brentford and Brighton are pretty far from amateur panic buyers.

Think it’s plainly clear now that Ekitike has been badly advised since his move to PSG.. needs to drop his agent or whoever it is in his ear before it’s to late for his career.

Although with Neymar and Messi gone it is feasible he’s thinking he will get more game time now, it does feel like a bullet dodged for us overall. Talented but off the field seems like he’d be trouble.

You can be badly advised and you can also make bad decisions yourself. I imagine, given the issues he’s faced at PSG, us being messed around and this new transfer debacle that he needs to take a lot of responsibility too
