Duran going to Saudi just proves that we are absolutely doing the right thing selling him.

Great, great talent, bad agent, bad attitude, clearly saps the energy of the squad, fuck him, that's an impressive return on our investment.

There's no way we could have built anything around him, every single window his agent would be in his ear drumming up some sort of money-spinning move for him.

Emery is right not to want to put up with that shit, so it's a good move from us. Also, not selling him to a rival, either.

Yeah, he's a talent, but I agree.

Probably best to cash in while there's a bunch of hype around him, before he does something daft.

Also, I could not give one tenth of one shit for sectarian politics, especially not in football, and also don't care if 'Lizzie is in a box' or anywhere as I am a republican, but really, coming to Birmingham, of all fucking places, singing songs about the IRA, parading down New Street (past both the pubs involved) dressed like paramilitaries, all that is only going to have one outcome.

What a bunch of absolute fucking wankers.

Yep, I never understand the hankering to have either of those clubs play in England; why the fuck would we want to infuse that shite into our game?  They can both stick their atavistic religious politics up their fucking arses.

Getting over £65m for your number two striker who seems to be a massive dickhead. All that money for Diaby as well.

Man, I'm just a bit jealous of Villa and their Saudi connections, I wish we had some. They could go on a mad spree if they wanted.

Who needs Saudi connections when Darren Eales can ask an old flame for a favour.

Incredible deal for Villa. I don't think they've got the squad to get CL again this season but they seem pretty well set up in the short term. Spunking a lot of their new cash on Disasi and Felix would give me some comfort at least.

Yeah Emery isn’t going to stand for that kind of nonsense. Best ship him out and get the cash in. Brummie what do you think about Arsenal going back in for Watkins in the summer?

Villa in champions league last 16, pushing for champions league place for next year have to sell one of their two stickers and Villa fans accepting that it makes sense.  Shows how fucked ip the entire situation is.

Last time we did something like this Shearer got injured soon after.  Watkins will now likely play more minutes putting him more at risk of injury.

Yeah might be a good deal financially, but if they’re unable to replace him risks de-railing their season if Watkins gets injured. The fact they also had to sell Luiz in the summer to comply, just shows how the current system is rigged and anti-competitive.

It's an utter disgrace for the likes of us and Villa - corrupt as hell

All I know is that there are a lot of fans of other clubs being quite high and mighty about NUFC's ownership but seems happy to take the Saudi coin when it comes their way.

Morals out the window.

They did just sign that Malen who I believe can also play through the middle.

Still think a better deal for Villa would be to sell Watkins and keep Duran.

In the short to medium term no, long term yes.

Watkins is twice the player Duran is currently. If I had to choose. I would choose to keep Watkins than Duran.

Don't think they trust him.

From what Brummie has shared seems a bit of a loose cannon.
