Bale has never been close to being the 3rd best player in the world.

He definitely has like. It hasn't been a great year or two for Bale but lets not forget just how good he was during Real's dominance of the Champions League. He was absolutely in the bracket just below Ronaldo and Messi.

Don’t think PEA works hard enough or has enough in his locker to be an elite level player good enough for Real Madrid, Liverpool, Juventus, Bayern or City for the level those guys play at. Midst PL teams are fodder for likes of him, it at the very very sharp end of the standard level he falls short.

He'd walk into Juventus' team man  Which of a 32 year old Higuain, a 32 year old Cuadrado or a 30 yo Douglas Costa do you think he's struggling to replace

Why are you throwing out ages of 32, 32 and 30 as negatives when Aubameyang is 31 himself?

The form he showed to win the move was up there with anything we've seen from the best players in the history of the PL. He was the complete package.

Either he's rubbish and it's a waste or he's good and Real buy him back in a year or two. Small club mentality bending over backwards to Real's buy back demands, although Jose is probably bitter and told Levy to get the deal done no matter what.

This  :snod: Bale should of and was brought to replace Ronaldo, Getting him back in the premier League if be stays fit is a massive coup he's talent is massively underrated

I agree with this. Bale is an outstanding player. He was probably regarded top 5 in the world when he went to Madrid and he is still only 31 so plenty of mileage left in the tank.

Reguilón is a great prospect but Spurs got taken to the cleaners by Real Madrid here. That's essentially a 2 year loan. And that's without taking into account that €30m in post-Covid football are probably more valuable than €40m in 2022.

I believe that's why Man Utd didn't make an offer, they didn't want a buy back clause and rightly so.

Is he a defender?

Yes, LB.

His mental age is about 14 having watched that All or Nothing nonsense.

It's true. All he does is angrily throw shinpads on the floor, feed Haribo to Eric Dier or ask the physios for their favourite 3 chocolate bars

In a nutshell.

He also discovered how to heat some baked beans up over lockdown to his credit.

We didn't want to pay 30m and we didn't want the clause. In years past we'd have paid 40m and taken the clause too. Delighted to see some sort of transfer structure now.

Because all three of those players were awful this season and Auba is clearly still performing at a very high level. Juventus badly need a refresh of their forward line as they only have Dybala and probably one more season of Ronaldo as top class attacking options.
