Rafa Benítez (now unemployed)

I heard directly from a well known sports commentator that Keys is apparently well known to be a thoroughly nasty piece of work and that it was his and Grey's cuntish treatment of a junior staff members, one of whom eventually became very senior, that directly lead to microphones being left on, the results being leaked and their careers with Sky ending.

Wern’t the microphones still left on because they were still on air in foreign countries?

Ashley bought us lock stock and barrel with no due diligence carried out, this resulted in him having to pay off the existing loan, he did that and then continued to add more debt to the club through interest free loans to himself which eventually he wants paid back, to say he saved us is ludicrous, at best he just postponed and then added to our debt.

If he cancels the debt or converts it to shares then we should feel grateful but as of 20:30 tonight we are actually worse off than when he took us over.,

I'm sure your source is correct, but this is a guy who leches on his daughter's friends so we don't really need any corroborating evidence he's a sleazy piece of shit. I don't know if he still works abroad but he really should be keeping a low profile with his reputation.

Most owners get shit for their clubs racking up debt, with Ashley it seems to be considered a virtue.

Our squad is thin. Last year we got lucky, we didn’t suffer a long term injury to a key player. If we’re unlucky this year, we’ll be in a relegation battle. Kenedy has a hamstring tear, maybe Lascelles suffers a broken foot or something like that and the lack of squad depth will be obvious.

Years ago Sky made a program called The Boss which was an hour long show about the manager of every club, a day in the life sort of thing, Sir John Hall complained about the title of the show and that he was The Boss and I remember Richard Keys agreeing with him and crawling up his arse and going against his employers, the bloke gets turned on by rich people it's why he now lives in the desert fronting a show for rich Arabs.

He's over there as he burnt his career to the ground and no one else would touch him.

Plenty of people have made comebacks after seemingly committing career suicide. The fact that there's still no media outlet in the UK that will him tells you everything you need to know. Even Talkshite won't touch him and they regularly scrape the barrel

I reckon I'd probably cry if I got a letter from Rafa for my birthday, like. As undeniably sad as that is.

It’s soul-destroying to think that we’re going to lose this man in nine months due to a complete and utter wank-stain of an owner;

What's more soul destroying is knowing he is going to slip away quietly next May, Ashley will still be here and there won't be much fuss

If he left now it could be the catalyst to end Ashley as momentum is building against him now and Rafa going now would turn even the zombies. That's the only thing that is going to unite everyone against Ashley

I'd rather no Rafa and no Ashley than a year of Rafa when we know he's leaving anyway and more years of Ashley

Rafa could bring the whole thing down now if he went. He's only staying hoping for a takeover which isn't going to happen as while he is here things are mainly calm
