His future does seem to hinge on a takeover happening and even then its not certain if the new owners would want to keep him. Without a takeover and Benitez Newcastle will be in big trouble next season just from reading interviews from the players they are just as desperate as the fans to see a change of direction at the club. Tbh that is strictly true, they can hardly interfere when the takeover hasn't been confirmed. At the moment this is purely a matter between Ashley and Rafa.
