United Announce New Training Ground Plans

Written by Newcastle Utd

Newcastle United have announced plans for a stunning new state-of-the-art training complex

Newcastle United Football Club have announced plans for a stunning new state-of-the-art training complex as part of a multi-million pound redevelopment of the Club's existing 35-acre training ground site.

The current intention is that work will get underway in May 2015 and when complete in early 2016, the Magpies will occupy one of the finest training facilities of its kind in Europe.

While existing training pitches and a modern indoor training hall will be retained, the Club's current Training Centre building will be demolished and replaced by a much larger, high-tech structure.

It will accommodate newly-designed changing, training, rehabilitation, medical, leisure and catering facilities and will also introduce the latest aquatic technology to the site, with a 20-metre swimming pool, a hydrotherapy and fitness pool and specialist equipment to aid injury prevention and recovery.

The new construction will also create a fitness centre double the size of the Club's existing gymnasium, as well as administrative space, a presentation suite for match analysis and a new media suite.

Newcastle United director of football, Joe Kinnear, said: "This is a hugely exciting development for Newcastle United. We have one of football's great stadiums and we are delighted to now be announcing plans for a training complex which will rival any in Europe.

"Top players and top teams need top training and medical facilities. Our current training ground has served the Club very well but the new complex will give us all of the ingredients that we need to continue maintaining and enhancing the performance of elite footballers.

"It will also be an added attraction when we are looking to recruit players."

The new training complex has been designed to fit within the Club's impressive environmental policy, building on the Magpies' achievement of becoming the world's first carbon neutral football club in 2012.

The new eco-friendly building will be made from cross-laminated timber (CLT) sourced from sustainable forests and will produce its own energy from a combined heat and power (CHP) plant room.

A formal planning application is to be submitted shortly before a tender process begins. For exclusive images, click here.

The Club's official website, www.nufc.co.uk will continue to bring supporters exclusive updates on the project as they happen.

Other firms are being advertised by KB too. Perhaps they could be targetted too so they put pressure on KB to do something. I hate Twitter but tempted to register to join in.

:dowie:

What the hell is he waiting for.

Get registered and start spreading the word, man.

In theory yes; however Ashley routinely goes against the other shareholders of SD

SD’s stock price would be affected if his investors pared their holdings.

Explains why he was stood outside Odey's the other day - firefighting after sales from one of their biggest shareholders...

The FAI is on there......

The FAI wouldn’t be able to cope.. ?

It seems a bit unfair to some of the companies who aren’t owned by Ashley but if we make them aware that by associating with Bishop, they are fair game. It would certainly hurt his business which can only be a good thing.

We know his modus operandi.. there will be a retaliation of sorts, so we need to be very much united and organised now.

Aye, I'd probably just go for the ones associated with SD, the football ones and the ones being promoted on his stupid kba fashion thing to begin with. Can always expand later if necessary.

Disagree I think Keith Bishop is turning out to be a weak link in the chain and probably one of the few people able to tell Ashley that he’s lost and needs to get out ASAP. These other organisations can pressure Bishop into doing the right thing.

I agree, if Bishops clients start dropping him because of the tidal wave of negative publicity associated with him being associated with fat boy and sd there is a chance he will realise he is losing core business and he might walk away from fat boy himself.

I know i would to save my business and reputation

Ashley isn’t just a client, he owns a large part of Bishop’s business.

I strong believe it was his business being hit which was upsetting and made him write that letter on behalf of Ashley and told Charnley to sign it and release it.

If he was paying himself back this loan with intention of selling club at reduced rate I think I could accept whats going on, but you just know the 128 million TV money from last season plus net profit this year will be pocketed and loan will remain.

Accounting-wise this won't happen.

Isn't the loan parked as interest free to the club so he doesn't have to pay any tax on it??

I think this is the first time that the fat cunt looks vulnerable to our "protest".

Yep.  Needs to keep being relentless from now.  Can't believe I'm again wanting us to lose but I hope we have a shit start to the season (very likely) just so people don't get distracted from the problems off the pitch again.

Ah maybe, so there really is nothing to gain from not spending then?

A good chunk of the TV income will have been used in the running of the club, mostly on wages. Until the numbers come out we can only guess where the excess TV money is sitting.

I know, I just mean accounting-wise the fat cunt cannot move those money out from the club into his own pocket unless

1. The loan is repaid

2. The club is sold (accumulated profit realised)

We would be in deep shit in any case.  Just look at the schedule.

On paper yes, but as ever Rafa will be professional and we won't be an easy opposition.  Think we might surprise a few with our start despite all of the shit going on.

Guest chopey

I can't believe how people are attacking his other businesses. That's never on, it's a disgrace to see people do that.

That said, there needs to be a protest, but based on the club and not his other honest businesses. This could affect Sports Direct Share Prices, and I'll be honest, I have a few shares in it, and there's no reason to attack his business over this.

I hope the protest against his disgraceful handling of the club goes on though, but it should leave his business alone

So was this guy really an Ashley cronie or just a Makem on the wind up ?

I think he just likes to have money in thre bank over assets on the pitch.  To me, it feels like vandalism of NUFC, why you wouldn't at least allow spending to maintain your position in the league is beyond me.  He always tries to keep it at the very lowest end to the point of risk relegation.
