A 1-1 draw at Villa was followed by 2-1 wins at both Preston and Brentford and a pair of home stalemates: 2-2 against Bristol City and 1-1 against Leeds. Each of those games brought late drama: Villa (home side scored on 88) Preston (home side scored on 90) Brentford (10 minutes added time) Bristol City (home side scored on 82) Leeds (away side scored on 90+5) Kavanagh's only previous posting to a toon game was a 0-1 home loss to Sheffield Wednesday in the League Cup during September 2015. Unless we're putting Chancel in there to take care of their strong midfield this will be a tough game. Merino starts, we win imo. If he doesn't it would be a good draw. Would also like to see Gayle/Joselu start, but would like to see the latter do a little bit more. He does a lot of good things but is also pedestrian at times and we can't afford it.
