sempuki
Says we are confident according to this. Posturing probably: http://www.football-oranje.com/feyenoord-looking-new-striker-jorgensen-join-newcastle/
huss9
imo this fella is only worth anywhere near £20m because its january and we are so desperate. the club needs to realise that this month we're going to have to pay way over the odds for what we need. just goes to show how clever rafa had been setting up those deals for townsend, delph and the other lad a year ago for such reasonable fees - they would now cost three times as much. small-time, short-term thinking, tight cunt that ashley is
STM
Reading between the lines, the player has probably already decided to join us and Feyenoord know it. That doesn't mean to say that this transfer is a certainty, but it's probably why we are trying to penny pinch (don't we always) and also why they are looking for a replacement. The worry is that we will dick them so much that they tell us to fuck off. In any ordinary situation, I'd say this transfer is a certainty but it's the end of January, it's us and it's spending money.
Ketsbaia
It's starting to sound like this one might happen, but you never know with these bellends. I'd not be gutted to miss out on Jorgensen but - if you're telling me that it's him or nothing - then we have to go for it

Guest
Pay £18.5m, break club record once, gives scope to pay a whopping £19.5m for someone in the summer if we stay up. Smash the club record twice in 6 months since Staveley wouldn't stump up. All hail Lord Mike.

Footsoldier
On the other hand, when panic sets in and you have four days left with clubs holding your feet to the fire, you are guaranteed to waste money. Another shambles.

Infinitely Content
Personally I don't care what fee we pay to get him in. £15m or £25m, makes not a single jot of a difference to us - but could make a huge difference to the squad/manager. Yorkie
We have though. Which, in many respects, is kinda the point. They'll conform when they feel like it (pretty rarely, like).

Manquillo for instance. Wasn't even a sniff of a rumour, some Spanish journalist posted something, following day he was having a medical.
St1pe
I'm pleased they've set a deadline. It at least means we won't be glued to the deadline day trickle of non-news in the hope something will happen. I guess we'll know either way before then. We have to bite the bullet and pay it now, this is what happens when you take a chance on not investing in the summer. Ashley gambled, he lost. Pay up and stay up fatty. xLiaaamx
Merino was done before the locals knew about which annoyed the fuck out of Douglas who always gets pissy when someone calls the NCJ out on not knowing something

Shelveys Hair
They will let him go for 20 million Euro.. our last bid was 17.5 million, so if we mess it up over 2 and half million Euro then you have to question whether we were really interested at all.
