Guest firetotheworks
Goal's hilarious because the players are obviously actors, but it's so obvious they're not footballers. We've got a Sven type manager in it as well iirc.
Vinny Green Balls
Gonna watch Goal in bed now like. If you like sports movies that make the new Bad News Bears movie look like The Natural, then they are a safe bet.
Kanji
He’d easily have had 2 tonight if he was fit to play and not signed at the 11th hour.
Ameritoon
Goal's hilarious because the players are obviously actors, but it's so obvious they're not footballers. We've got a Sven type manager in it as well iirc. I remember watching DVD bonus feature and they credited the main actor for being great at football. Shut it off right after that. Also his pronunciation of Fulham...
M4
And his sudden decision to take the decisive free kick with his weaker foot.

Yorkie
Goal's good, like. Some great shots of the Toon and the coast.
ponsaelius
Objectively it's not good, it's a really terrible film. It's only enjoyable since it's in Newcastle.
Vinny Green Balls
Hans would probably agree with me that the script is fucking terrible.
Figures 1-0 Football
Rip out Joselu’s thigh muscle and just stick it in this lad, get him playing on Sunday.
kager
Hans would probably agree with me that the script is f***ing terrible. From what I remember the script is real bad.
madras
Anywhere to get on top goalscorer from now till the end of season ? (Not that he will like just we create the chances and with us being down therer I may get good odds)
Stottie
Simon Bird reckons he can only play in ten games, missing the first two with injury and then the Leicester fixture, but yeah, one in two would pretty much get him there. Someone needs 7 to be our joint lowest top scorer in our history, so that record looks like it will be broken https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Newcastle_United_F.C._seasons Slimani looks quality, so hopes are high he'll take us from disastrously crap (18th) to acceptably crap (17th). TRon
Just hope we can actually get some decent delivery into the box for him to score the goals needed. Our football in the final third has been dire.
KaKa
Have you not seen the number of chances we have been creating and missing? As bad as our approach play can sometimes look we still create a good number of decent opportunities.
Cronky
He's strong and quick, so that will give us something different in the striking department. In our situation, I'd see him as a better bet than Sturridge. I can see him playing with aggression, whereas my worry with Sturridge was that he'd see us as being a bit beneath him. Come to think of it, he seemed to act like Liverpool was beneath him at times.
Guest
January 2016 he was linked with Man U. Think he's been unlucky that Vardy & Okazaki accompany each other so well.
Karjala
If he knows how to finish, he'll get goals here.
mrmojorisin75
Take it there's been no talk of an option or obligation to buy?
STM
Take it there's been no talk of an option or obligation to buy? If hes scoring goals and keeps us up. Signing him will become fairly easy, I would have thought.
FustinoSolano
Will be nice to have a competent all round striker who knows how to finish. Just maddens me more that it took so long to get someone in, if we had done our business earlier (like Rafa wanted) we could be sitting with 4 more points! jimmymag
Just hope we can actually get some decent delivery into the box for him to score the goals needed. Our football in the final third has been dire. He'll get enough chances, especially from Kenedy. Needs to hit the ground running though.
