mighty__mag
Boom, needed to happen. immediate impact from Slim. Gayle is horrendous. Apart from the fact that Gayle has played well for weeks. Well there is the fact we haven't been able to select Slimani. So Gayle would have been trying his best, in my eyes his best isnt that great though. But we are safe now so lets not argue about it?? WarrenBartonCentrePartin
I just feel happy for Ameritoon. Hopefully he's hitting Maddies for trebles as soon as happy hour kicks in at 5.
Stottie
Vidic is a decent pundit. Was about to say. Very confident and astute. Aye, the "blame Mustafi" simple narrative is there and he's looking at the bigger picture.
Yorkie
Feel fully detoxed from the Pardew corruption. It's a great feeling to believe in the team and the manager again. Somewhere between this and feeling this is all just another, more elaborate way for us to ultimately get shat upon. Oh it absolutely ends in tears, man. But we've got right now. These are the good old days.

Dave
Gayle’s movement and work-rate has played a key part in this run, that's why he's been starting. Ridiculous to ignore that.
Robster
Aye I believe so. I bet he's fucking loving it right now. I'm really looking forward to his posts. It'll be difficult to express how he's feeling. Amazing stuff.
Big Geordie
Superb win, superb performance and two superb goals. Excellent work-rate, with Shelvey and Diame bossing the midfield. First home win over Arsenal since the days of Souness/Roeder, I think? 41 points!
leffe186
Just saw the score - been pickig the girls up from Girl Scout camp. Arsenal TV will be a joy.
Tiresias
It's a properly coached team, yedlin started a bit off but generally everyone works together contributes. Beautiful to watch. Compared to years of random assortments of players some giving a shit others just in it for themselves.
Stottie
Gayle’s movement and work-rate has played a key part in this run, that's why he's been starting. Ridiculous to ignore that. It took Ritchie 2/3 of the season to start scoring, but he was contributing all the time.
Deuce
Chuffed for Ameritoon, too. I’m jealous, what an experience for him.

Bimpy474
Gayle’s movement and work-rate has played a key part in this run, that's why he's been starting. Ridiculous to ignore that. Yep. Also got an assist today. He didn't like, Yedlin crossed for the Perez goal and Perez flick it for Ritchie to score, Gayle still played very very well though. Guest
The couple of years before relegation it seemed to be Spurs, Chelsea & Liverpool where we had a decent home record against, now we've beaten Man Utd & Arsenal. If we could just crack Man City we'd be sorted.
SSFC
Everyone on the pitch earned their pay today and that was well deserved. Looking like a proper mid table Premier League side. Both goals were well worked. Now about getting a new owner and seeing what Rafa can do with some backing. Better TEAM won today.
Mole_Toonfan
Gayle’s movement and work-rate has played a key part in this run, that's why he's been starting. Ridiculous to ignore that. It took Ritchie 2/3 of the season to start scoring, but he was contributing all the time. Not sure I agree, he's been fantastic for a couple of months now but pre Christmas there was multiple games where I felt he wasn't offering much. It doesn't matter now though. TRon
Gayle’s movement and work-rate has played a key part in this run, that's why he's been starting. Ridiculous to ignore that. Yeah, get a bit pissed off when he gets slagged off, he's been causing teams problems even if not scoring. The team ethic runs deep in this squad and he's played his part. Guest reefatoon
Absolutely class game and result. 41 points to safety too. Stif, it’s time to get your quill and parchment out again and let our new owners know it’s time.
mighty__mag
Gayle’s movement and work-rate has played a key part in this run, that's why he's been starting. Ridiculous to ignore that. I personally would still choose a fit Slimani over him based on 2 sub appearances. Hes contributed as much as the next man. But realistically id still say many others have shown more. Perez has suddenly stepped up, Ritchie is performing. Shelvey, Mo Diame has transformed. And the back pairing of Lascelles and Lejuene have seen us not concede many. Oh nearly forgot Kenedy who imo has transformed our attacking play ??. Any reason you single out Gayle as a big part? Or is it because a few including myself picked on him today.... Guest firetotheworks
Thoroughly enjoyed watching that, hoping for the 3 points but not absolutely shitting myself if we let it slip. Great, hard fought win.

Aye same, sort of expected them to equalise so wasn't too panicky. A draw would have still been a good result. We could and should have made it 3-1 anyway.
